Deputy-Involved Shooting Under Scrutiny as Mother Seeks Answers Six Months Later RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif. — A Southern California mother is calling for justice after the death of her son during a deputy-involved shooting involving the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. Tyesha Moody says her son was fatally shot by deputies in Riverside County approximately six months ago. According to Moody, her son was unarmed when the shooting occurred and was struck more than 11 times in the back. Since the incident, Moody says she has been searching for answers but feels she has received little information about the circumstances surrounding her son’s death. “My baby was killed, and I still have no answers, no help, and no justice,” Moody said in a public statement. Moody also believes media coverage has unfairly portrayed her son and is asking the public and news organizations to take a closer look at the case. She is urging anyone willing to help amplify her son’s story in hopes of bringing greater public awareness and accountability. As of this report, the official findings regarding the shooting have not been included in Moody’s statement. It is unknown whether the investigation remains active or if additional information has been released by law enforcement.
