When I visited Jakande housing estate at Ilasan, Engr Moro stood next to me, he did absolutely no wrong.He stated that the government should compensate title holders fairly before making landlords homeless. In front of me agents of The Lagos State Govt beat him mercilessly till he fainted. He was then detained and recently moved from Task Force base at Oshodi to Kirikiri . This man is being held for asking Lagos state to follow the law and respect the court Injunction, instead The Lagos State Govt chose to be lawless and then harm citizens for demanding fair compensation. The Magistrate set the following bail conditions: Bail Conditions: 1. N200,000 2. Two sureties gainfully employed with the Lagos State Government 3. Evidence of payment of tax for three (3)years 4. Proof of employment (Letter of appointment and ID card) (Magistrate added that the HOS must write a letter approving the sureties to stand as surety) In the video below, you see Engr Maro calmly showing the agents of destruction and demolition the court injunction barring them from demolishing the buildings and rendering them homeless. Does the APC in Lagos have any sense of decency or competence? Why should everyone on the Island be trapped in traffic simply because of your summit at TBS? This is utterly ridiculous. Madness, even. First, you have a Commissioner for Transport, you control LASTMA, and you have the RRS under your influence, yet you still cannot manage simple traffic flow around your own event? Secondly, between Marina and Bonny Camp, there are several parking facilities — both public and private. Doesn’t common sense suggest that arrangements should have been made with these parking lots so buses conveying your members could park properly while traffic continues to flow? Is basic competence too much to ask for? Shame on all of you.

Unlike some, i have only one passport and have sworn no allegiance to any other state. Nigeria is all I have. A war with a people who appear to be uniting around a common interest, seeking economic freedom and a departure from over bearing western influence will have very dire consequences for our image as a regional power and could pose much graver security threats. Their alliance in the footprint of the ancient songhai empire is not by accident, their fight is also ideological with the memory of Thomas Sankara being evoked. For several years in recent times, we have seen both political and military leaders send patriotic soldiers to war illequiped and with very little remuneration while they reward themselves with vanities. We are still grappling with major insecurity as a result of the destabilization of Libya by France and its Allies, and because Africa did not present a United front, west africa is paying the price for that destabilization. Forget the fact that we have serious internal security challenges that is stretching our military, or the fact that our economy is in a parlous state, how does it make sense that Nigeria wants to lead an effort to spill the blood of people who are seeking emancipation? We must focus on a diplomatic solution. Nigeria cannot afford to be enmeshed in a war and we must stand against international destabilization of the region, if we don't, it will be a mess we will eventually clean up and pay dearly for, ask Libya.

The Department of State Services (DSS) is no doubt aware of the NURTW’s directives to its members, urging them to Attack, hurt, maim, disrupt, intimidate, and harm opposition gatherings in Lagos, As we saw happen at my declaration at Alimosho and now threats after our successful gathering at Ajeromi. The President and his Lagos APC allies have controlled Lagos state for over 24 years, yet they have no record to campaign on instead they mobilize people like this to stifle opposition, yet send their own children abroad to benefit from good governance. By labeling opposition voices as “enemies of the President” and threatening those who fail to carry out these acts, the intent is to stifle democracy through fear. Let it be known that we are not intimidated. We make this statement for the record and to emphatically state that no one has a monopoly on violence. It is truly disappointing that the Lagos APC is abusing state institutions by sealing off the venue where the ADC was scheduled to hold a meeting tomorrow after obtaining the necessary approvals. This is not only an abuse of power, it is a clear attempt to stifle opposition voices in Lagos. We understand that the APC is jittery about the momentum the ADC and obidients is building across the state, but deploying state security agencies to frustrate lawful political activities is unacceptable and undemocratic. Lagos belongs to all of us, not a select few. And it is our constitutional right to assemble lawfully. Let it be clear that no amount of intimidation or harassment will stop us from engaging with the people of Lagos. Our movement is powered by the people, and no barricade or show of force can weaken their resolve for a better Lagos. #OURLAGOS

I visited Mende Villa Estate to understand the situation of things. 1) The residents of the estate were never given any notice of demolition. 2) There were no prior warnings or markings in the estate pre-demolition. 3) Bill's for land use charge have consistently been sent.

One must applaud the courage to finally acknowledge the failure of our waste management system and to involve the Governor in the effort to address it. That said, the response still feels largely performative, and the urgency appears to have arrived on the eighth day of the week. Nonetheless, every genuine effort to restore cleanliness to our city deserves commendation. In the coming weeks, I will unveil our holistic approach to environmental management and our commitment to Lagos and how we intend to tackle these challenges in our first 18 months in office. in office.
