Join us on June 9 for the Museum Mile Festival—from 6–9 pm, stroll Fifth Avenue, enjoy free admission at participating museums, and experience outdoor performances, activities, and special programming along Museum Mile. Created by Douglas Gordon and Philippe Parreno, this two-channel video projection follows legendary French footballer Zinédine Zidane in real time during a single 2005 match, captured through seventeen synchronized cameras. The video will screen continuously during museum hours in the Peter B. Lewis Theater during one of the summer’s biggest cultural moments, the 2026 FIFA World Cup. 🎉 Announcing the 2026 LG Guggenheim Award recipient: Trevor Paglen We are thrilled to celebrate Paglen as the fourth artist honored through the LG Guggenheim Art and Technology Initiative. Paglen’s practice spans photography, simulation, remote sensing, sculpture, writing, research, and engineering, all aimed at uncovering systems that often operate out of sight. Paglen states, “We’re living through a profound transformation in our relationship to images. Images, sensing systems, algorithms, and the infrastructures around them have become active participants in the world — shaping decisions, identities, cultures, and histories. As an artist, I’m interested in exploring new forms of vision and imagining alternative ways of seeing."
