taegunv customize behind! 🧸 this is just a story but before i went to record the demo for customize, i actually asked taerae hyung to come with me. i felt like we needed taerae hyung for this demo to really bring out the right vibe. and the song is quite high too. so i asked him "i'm going to record a demo now can you come and do it with me?" and when taerae hyung asked "what will you give me?" i said "i'll buy you a meal" and he said "okay i'll be in touch," but he didn't contact me. so i went and did it by myself. that's why i ended up doing it alone.

the jebes talking about practicing sherlock while singing live 🥹 🧸 we can’t forget to mention sherlock. im the one who suggested it 🦊🐹🦋🐥 *claps* 🧸 i proudly said it. i said we should do it. 🐹 there were actually a lot of candidates but i think it was chosen well among them 🧸 when we were deciding, shinee are like the kings of live vocals right. so i thought covering that kind of mood would help us improve our skills and build our image. 🦋 when we practiced, we really did it while singing live. 🦊 jiwoong hyung was seriously singing live the whole time. 🧸 right right. that’s why i mentioned in yesterday’s live that we don’t even say "let's practice live" as a group, everyone just does it on their own. 🐹 once the choreography is set and we start filming a few times, everyone just starts doing it. (…) but when we first did it all live on our own, the feedback we got afterward was "how did you even do that live?" the song is so high and the choreography quality is so intense, even physically... so it kind of became a motivation like "let's give this a try."

wait so apparently when they were given the song top 5 it was already titled top 5?? 🧸 for the title track top 5 we didn't give them a lead 🐹 ah usually you'd give the composers a lead like "please make something with this kind of concept for our group's style” 🧸 yeah but top 5 wasn't given as a lead. 🦊 they just gave it? 🧸 i heard they just got it from a publisher somewhere. but the song title was already top 5. it was such a perfect fit.

gunwook about customize 🥹 🦋 how many days did it take? 🧸 for writing it? i've been writing this since the end of january, so at that time, probably only matthew hyung, taerae hyung, and i, just the three of us listened to it together for the first time during the album track selection. we listened to it first at the music video filming site and then the other two probably heard it later. so somehow we managed to develop it well and it just went (….) but i was also really nervous. if the reaction wasn't good, i'd feel like i was burdened with the responsibility but i’m so glad the reaction was so good, seriously
