Citizenship: Foreigner Until Proven Otherwise? ——- Dr Niraja Jayal on NRC, SIR & CAA Are Indians slowly being asked to prove they belong in their own country? Political scientist and citizenship scholar Dr Niraja Jayal delivers a powerful address on how India's founding idea of citizenship — a presumption that you belong — is being replaced by what she calls a "presumption of alienage": the assumption that a person is a foreigner until proven otherwise. In this speech, Dr Niraja Jayal discusses: The shift from jus soli (citizenship by birth) to conditional citizenship The Citizenship Act amendments of 2003 and 2019 How the NRC, SIR, CAA and the passport controversy connect The burden of proof: state versus individual The Foreigners Act of 1946 and its colonial legacy Citizenship, welfare access and voting rights What a reconstruction of equal citizenship could look like This address was delivered at the Constitutional Conduct Group conclave on 'One Nation-One Election, Federalism and Citizenship' at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi, on 4 July 2026. A very worthy read and an absolute eye opener for many who know very little about the vile, vicious and most corrupt processes initiated by the GoI. #Citizenship #CitizenshipProof #SIR #NRC #Reels

Sometimes a speech doesn’t just answer political claims—it rewrites the narrative. This is one such rebuttal. Superb 😃👌 Ganesh Godiyal systematically challenges the BJP’s repeated claims of “historic achievements” by asking a simple but powerful question: How much of what is celebrated today was actually conceived, built, and initiated decades ago? From infrastructure to institutions, from public sector projects to national assets, he argues that many of the milestones showcased today have their roots in governments of the past—particularly during the Congress era. Whether you agree with his politics or not, the questions he raises deserve to be heard and debated on facts, not slogans. If public discourse is to move beyond chest-thumping and political branding, then acknowledging the contribution of previous governments is equally important. This is a high-voltage rebuttal backed by historical references and deserves a patient hearing. Must watch and listen to Ganesh Godiyal before forming an opinion.

Indian passengers misbehaving with cabin crew on a Singapore Airlines flight and getting arrested & imprisoned. This is utterly shameful. Such entitled, uncivilised behaviour brings nothing but disgrace to India. They deserve far stricter punishment— hefty fines, blacklisting, and legal action that actually hurts — so every unruly, unmannered Indian thinks ten times before even letting an entitled thought cross their mind. In a nation where molesters & rapists are garlanded, this confidence to misbehave with women is not surprising. But thinking they can get away with this on foreign soils was a tad bit adventurous courage. What a stellar way to project “Vishwaguru” on the global stage! Our culture of discipline and respect starts at home, not in hollow slogans. #IndianBehaviourAbroad #NationalShame

Why are Indians getting such a bad reputation abroad ⁉️ What’s worse is that this seems to be only growing. It can’t be lack of education. What could it be? Lack of etiquette or basic knowledge and understanding of how to conduct themselves, Have you any replies ?

The world is shocked at these shamelessly irresponsible and internationally illegal actions of Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma. BBC features this interview of the CM in their story regarding how Assam Govt has been illegally and cruelly pushing Indian Citizens into Bangladesh; all this while the tribunals haven’t yet announced them non Indians. Many of such Indians have been pushed back towards India by the Bangladesh Government. Such victims are going through harrowing conditions without food, water, sleep or shelter for days together. CM Himanta Sarma is seen admitting to these crimes openly in this interview here.

He says he has a video of the interview that Jashoda Ben, (PM Modi’s wife) gave to Zee TV. He says he has also recorded a dying declaration. Jashoda Ben and her brothers were pressurised to never talk to media, he says. Why did PM Modi not reveal that he was married to Jashoda Ben⁉️ Could this be true, that he hid facts⁉️ Another video here is that where PM Modi’s Affidavit before filing his candidature is displayed where he has hidden facts of his spouse. Doesn’t that amount to hiding facts⁉️ How can there be two set of rules, one for PM Modi and another for leaders of the Opposition⁉️ Is this not gross unfair and misuse of power⁉️ India wants to know, why is everything about our PM is so suspicious ⁉️

Raw, unfiltered truth from the man who led it. In a rare and candid interview, Lt Gen Kuldip Singh “Bulbul” Brar — the officer who commanded Operation Blue Star in June 1984 — gives a blow-by-blow account of one of the most controversial military operations in independent India’s history. From the escalating tensions in Punjab, the occupation of the Golden Temple complex by militants led by Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, to the tough decisions on the ground, Gen Brar opens up about what led to the operation and the key figures involved. He doesn’t shy away from the hard realities, including the moment he noted: “So, we would have to then disarm the police.” A no-holds-barred look at the planning, challenges, and consequences from the commander who was there — at a time when the nation faced serious threats to its unity and integrity. #OperationBlueStar #IndianArmy #LtGenKSBrar #Punjab1984 #MilitaryHistory #BrutIndia

Indian-born economist Jayant Bhandari makes a sharp and uncomfortable claim: that many Indians are celebrating the idea of becoming a “world power” while ignoring harsh economic realities. According to him, the narrative of strength and global dominance does not match the condition of the average citizen. He argues that when measured by per capita income, widespread poverty, unemployment, and inequality, India ranks among the poorest nations relative to its massive population. The contrast is stark. On one hand — space missions, global summits, and trillion-dollar GDP headlines. On the other — struggling households, limited job creation, and rising living costs. His statement is provocative and heavily debated. Yet it forces a critical question: Is national pride being built on aggregate numbers while individual prosperity lags behind? A country’s true strength is not just in its global image — it lies in the dignity, income, and security of its people. Jayant Bhandari #IndianEconomy #ModiFailedIndia

In Delhi, Professor Yadav strongly countered RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat during a public event. Speaking in defense of Bahujans (backward and marginalized communities), Prof. Yadav launched a sharp attack on Bhagwat and the RSS, claiming they harm the interests of larger sections of society. The fiery speech quickly went viral, with supporters calling it a bold “Lanka Dahan” moment against the Sangh. Such verbal duels between ideological opponents are common in India’s vibrant democracy. While one side sees it as standing up for social justice, the other views it as polarized rhetoric that deepens divisions rather than bridging them. Healthy debate is the strength of any democracy. It’s time more voices come forward to expose the RSS just like he did here. The RSS nationalism mask needs to be exposed. #MohanBhagwat #RSS #DelhiEvent #PoliticalDebate

Tehseen Poonawalla is absolutely right & must be supported by everyone univocally on this issue. If you don’t support him, you risk your valuable vehicles which are at risk now. The forced E20 ethanol blending policy has become a textbook case of conflict of interest, lack of transparency, and disregard for the common citizen. How people of India are being treated as Guinea pigs for trials and how their only precious asset a 2,3 or 4 wheeler is risked is appalling, brazen and shames less and that to benefit Mr Gadkari’s son 😡 While Union Minister Nitin Gadkari aggressively pushes mandatory E20 — claiming it helps farmers and cuts imports — his own sons reportedly have direct business interests in ethanol distilleries that have seen massive revenue surges. Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri defends it by comparing our daily drivers to racing cars and downplays mileage drops, engine wear, and the complete absence of consumer choice. This is unacceptable. Citizens have every right to choose between E20 and regular petrol. Old cars, new cars, bikes — all are being forced into an untested rollout without proper public disclosure of ARAI reports or impact studies. When policy benefits connected businesses while harming vehicle owners and wallets, accountability must follow. Let’s take a note of the fact that ICICI Lombard has refused to settle claims for issues related to vehicle damages in this context. Tehseen’s demand is fully justified — Nitin Gadkari and Hardeep Singh Puri must be sacked, without further delay. The people of India deserve transparency, choice, and ministers who put the nation before family business interests. This is a video from Bangladesh where thousands of young Bangladeshis are chanting hardcore anti India slogans. Bangladesh has turned even more anti India than Pakistan ever was. Huge achievement by BJP Govt. We now have every tiny winy nation around us hating us and cussing us 🤬 This is not only a precarious situation for India but also for every Indian in Bangladeshi land. It’s unnerving to think of their present situation. Let’s not forget what Rahul Gandhi had said on the floors of the parliament, that our Govt is playing with fire by getting Pakistan, China and Bangladesh together against us. May good sense, peace and harmony prevail! #ModiHaiTohMumkinHai

"Narendra Modi was the Traitor." This video is an open message to Mr. Narendra Modi and his team members from BJP. This video is for every stand-up comic, every YouTuber, every influencer, every news presenter in India who has a case against him/her for expressing a view. This is for every Aniket Patil in India. This is for Freedom of Speech, to illuminate the blind spots in our collective knowledge. Most importantly this is for all those Indians who are “never supposed to speak” and suffer in silence.
