During the proceedings, MLA Dhaliwal raised a point of order after NDP Minister Lisa Beare shouted “gross” while he was seeking leave to introduce the motion. MLA Dhaliwal described it as an insult to the Sikh community and asked for an apology from Minister Beare for calling this motion “gross”. Following the objection, Minister Beare tried to clarify and withdraw her remark.
