We're sorry for the impact that flooding caused by Storm Chandra is having on our customers. Following Storm Ingrid, a large sink hole has appeared between Dawlish and Teignmouth and this will need to be filled. The railway line between Exeter St Davids and Newton Abbott will therefore need to be closed between 19:00 on Wednesday 28 January and 07:00 on Thursday 29th January, to allow this work to take place. We are saddened to hear that Sir Kenneth Grange has passed away. A design legend, Sir Kenneth created the look of the iconic High Speed Train. We were honoured to name HST locomotive 43002 after him in 2016. He also joined us in 2019 as the last HST train left Paddington. RIP and thank you Sir Kenneth.
