In ULTRAKILL, the chainsaw is programmed to target whichever limb you're directly aiming at, but in the current build, we didn't specify that it had to belong to the enemy you're actually hitting. This is how I found out that headless Strays are very indecisive.

Fun fact: In 2017, before ULTRAKILL, I worked on a short horror game that mixed together PT and the Black Lodge from Twin Peaks with randomized "scares" (creeps? eeries?). I only worked on it for 2 days, but some files from it still live on in the ULTRAKILL project.
