This video is old — it doesn’t reflect today’s reality at Govt. High School, Village Jhalla (Shri Fatehgarh Sahib). I went and saw for myself, unannounced, this afternoon to check ground reality. Here’s what I found: 100 students, 9 teachers. Washrooms clean, running water, sanitary pad disposal machine functional in the girls’ toilet. Boundary wall complete. ₹15 lakh spent on repairs over the last 4 years. 2 smart panels, 3 projectors, a working computer lab and science lab, WiFi, drinking water — all in order. Whitewash was pending; the grant is sanctioned and work begins right after the monsoon. The one real problem: the panchayat ground behind the school needs upkeep, taking it up with the Panchayat. Education is top priority for our government, and we are committed to make each and every school of Punjab the best.
