THEORY: ENTRANCE OF THE TREE FLAYER In an exclusive Hawkins Happenings scoop, we’ve confirmed that Stranger Things 5 will feature a new creature with eight massive legs, cracked skin, and a gaping mouth—visually reminiscent of the Season 3 meat flayer. Another part to this theory: the Duffer Brothers reportedly drew inspiration from The Last of Us throughout the making of Stranger Things. Our theory: the monster will debut in a large-scale battle sequence, bursting from the yellow gate downtown alongside an army of Demogorgons and Demobats, mirroring the bloater’s introduction in The Last of Us.
