I race for them / Я змагаюсь за них ❤️🩹 Сьогодні розкажу про шолом, в якому я збираюсь виступати на Олімпійських іграх вже через кілька днів. На шоломі намальовані спортсмени які були вбиті під час війни, а точніше лише маленька їх частина. Це несправедливо, й ці люди не мали б йти від нас в такому ранньому віці. Цим я хочу віддати данину цим людям та їх родинам. Світ має знати ціну Української свободи. —— Today I’m going to tell you about the helmet in which I will compete at the Olympic Games in just a few days. On the helmet are depicted athletes who were killed during the war — or to be more precise, only a small fraction of them. It is unfair, and these people should not have left us at such a young age. With this I want to pay tribute to these individuals and to their families. The world needs to know the true price of Ukrainian freedom.

МОК забороняє використання мого шолома на офіційних тренуваннях та змаганнях 💔 Рішення, яке просто розбиває серце. Відчуття, що МОК зраджує тих спортсменів, які були частиною Олімпійського руху, не даючи можливості вшанувати їх на спортивній арені, куди ці спортсмени більше ніколи не зможуть вийти. Попри прецеденти в сучасності та в минулому, коли МОК допускав подібні вшанування, цього разу для України вирішили встановити особливі правила. Ми готуємо офіційний запит до МОК і будемо боротися за право змагатися саме в цьому шоломі. —— The IOC has banned the use of my helmet at official training sessions and competitions 💔 A decision that simply breaks my heart. The feeling that the IOC is betraying those athletes who were part of the Olympic movement, not allowing them to be honored on the sports arena where these athletes will never be able to step again. Despite precedents in modern times and in the past when the IOC allowed such tributes, this time they decided to set special rules just for Ukraine. We are preparing an official request to the IOC and will fight for the right to compete in this exact helmet.

Theater of the absurd. The IOC has lifted all restrictions on Russian athletes. Today, on the day this video is being recorded, our city is once again under shelling — yesterday was a day of mourning for those killed in the Russian attack. And now, seeing this absolutely shameful decision just feels like some kind of unbelievable absurdity. This decision is not about the neutrality of sport. This decision is about rejecting reality. The IOC completely ignores the facts that Russian sport plays a huge role in Russian propaganda. The FSB still remains in charge of the Russian anti-doping agency, and it is run by the very same people who poisoned Russian dissidents with “Novichok.” Yet the IOC ignores this fact. Russian athletes are fighting on the front lines, but the IOC calls them “innocent.” Russian athletes are involved in activities with kidnapped Ukrainian children, but the IOC doesn’t care about Ukrainian victims. They would rather disqualify Ukraine than face the reality of the present day. Sanctions were lifted from Russia solely based on a statement by the Russian Olympic Committee claiming they no longer operate in the occupied territories — even though the reality is completely different. The facts of their activities in the occupied territories are publicly known, but the IOC couldn’t care less. The current leadership of the IOC is a disgrace to the Olympic movement. These are people with no morality or principles whatsoever. In 1936, the Olympic Games already served as a tool for spreading the propaganda of one dictator. It looks like we are seeing exactly who inspires the current IOC leadership. National Olympic Committees (NOCs) must give a strong response to this shameful decision, and countries should finally consider imposing a visa ban on Russian athletes.

Я пропоную завершити цей скандал. I propose to end this scandal. Я ніколи не хотів скандалу з МОК і я його не створював. МОК створив це своєю інтерпретацією правил, яку багато хто вважає дискримінаційною. Хоча дії МОК дали змогу голосно говорити про українських спортсменів, які загинули, водночас сам факт скандалу відволікає величезну кількість уваги від самих змагань та від спортсменів, які в них беруть участь. Тому я вкотре пропоную завершити скандал. Прошу: 1. Зняти заборону на використання «Шолома Пам’яті». 2. Вибачитися за тиск, створений на мене протягом останніх днів. 3. В знак солідарності з українським спортом надати електрогенератори для українських спортивних об’єктів, які щодня страждають від обстрілів. Дуже сподіваюся на відповідь до початку змагань зі скелетону. —— I never wanted a scandal with the IOC, and I did not create it. The IOC created it with its interpretation of the rules, which many view as discriminatory. Although this scandal has made it possible to loudly speak about Ukrainian athletes who have been killed, at the same time the very fact of the scandal distracts a tremendous amount of attention away from the competitions themselves and from the athletes participating in them. That is why I propose to end the scandal. I ask: 1. Lift the ban on the use of the “Memory Helmet”. 2. Apologize for the pressure that has been put on me over the past few days. 3. As a sign of solidarity with Ukrainian sport, provide electric generators for Ukrainian sports facilities that are suffering from daily shellings. I very much hope for a response before the start of the skeleton competitions.

Fake Neutrality. Two-time Russian Olympian Vladimir Goncharov is fighting against Ukraine as part of the 1487th Motorized Rifle Regiment. This regiment participated in the destruction of residential buildings and civilian infrastructure in the Pokrovsk direction, which may qualify as a war crime. It is also worth noting that Goncharov himself understands that the fact of his service destroys the narrative about “innocent Russian athletes” whom the IOC considers “neutral.” “I try to turn away from the cameras when someone comes to film us. In my sport, I am quite a well-known person. If I end up in the frame somewhere, I think it will be the end for all Russian sports. They’ll say that Russian athletes are also participating in the war. We still haven’t washed off the doping scandal, and now this too,” Goncharov said after his mobilization. It seems that the only side that fails to understand that Russian sport is part of the Russian Federation’s military machine is the IOC and international federations. Despite the involvement of Russian athletes in propaganda and even their direct participation in aggressive actions, these organizations are already actively bringing back not only Russian athletes and the Russian Olympic Committee, but also all Russian symbols to the world sports arenas. Once again, it is worth reminding everyone that Russian athletes are guilty and must be isolated from the international sports arena. We should also call on the governments of other countries not to issue visas to Russian athletes who support the war or who are part of Russian propaganda (that is, absolutely all members of the Russian national teams).

Якщо це не дискримінація, то що? If this isn’t discrimination, then what is? Вже завтра стартують змагання зі скелетону на Олімпійських іграх 2026. Але замість підготовки до стартів ми вимушені боротися за право виступати в «Шоломі Пам’яті». Повертаємося до теми подвійних стандартів МОК. Аналогічна ситуація склалася з ізраїльським скелетоністом: на церемонії відкриття він вийшов у кіппі (про що напередодні заявив у своїх соціальних мережах), на якій були вказані імена 11 ізраїльських спортсменів та тренерів, убитих терористами на Олімпіаді в Мюнхені 1972 року. Тобто спортсмен буквально помістив пам’ять про загиблих на свою голову, щоб ушанувати їх. Я відверто не розумію, чим принципово відрізняються ці два випадки. Правила МОК є однаковими на церемоніях відкриття, нагородженнях та на місцях проведення змагань. Чому до українців таке ставлення? «Шолом Пам’яті» має бути дозволеним на змаганнях. — Tomorrow the skeleton competitions at the 2026 Olympic Games begin. In other words, the athlete literally placed the memory of the fallen on his head to honor them. I honestly don’t understand how these two cases are fundamentally different. The IOC rules are the same for opening ceremonies, medal presentations, and competition venues. Why such treatment towards Ukrainians? The “Memory Helmet” must be allowed in competitions.

МОК перетворив ситуацію з «Шоломом Пам’яті» на театр абсурду. У вчорашньому зверненні речник МОК Марк Адамс, зокрема, наголосив на рівності між спортсменами й саме цим аргументував заборону використання «Шолома Пам’яті». А вже того ж дня американський фігурист під час виступу на Олімпійських іграх у Мілані здійснив гарне вшанування на пам’ять про своїх батьків, які загинули в авіакатастрофі, - і, звісно, не отримав за це жодних санкцій. Ця ситуація могла б слугувати ідеальним визначенням поняття «подвійні стандарти». Раніше ми просили, а тепер вимагаємо зняти заборону на використання «Шолома Пам’яті» під час змагань на Олімпійських іграх. Очевидно, що він не порушує жодних правил МОК. —— The IOC has turned the situation with the “Memory Helmet” into a theater of the absurd. In yesterday’s statement, IOC spokesperson Mark Adams, in particular, emphasized equality among athletes and used precisely this argument to justify the ban on using the “Memory Helmet.” Yet on the same day, an American figure skater, during his performance at the Olympic Games in Milan, paid a beautiful tribute in memory of his parents who died in a plane crash - and, of course, received no sanctions for it. This situation could serve as a perfect definition of the concept of “double standards.” Earlier we asked, and now we demand the lifting of the ban on using the “Memory Helmet” during competitions at the Olympic Games. It is obvious that it does not violate any IOC rules.

Вони хотіли знецінити їхню пожертву, а знецінили лише себе. They wanted to devalue their sacrifice and only managed to devalue themselves. Що ми маємо зрозуміти з цієї історії: 1. Світ пам’ятає нашу трагедію. 2. Ми боремося не лише на полі бою. Ми маємо не допустити поширення російської пропаганди у спорті. Також я впевнений, що ми маємо підтримувати родини загиблих не лише на словах. Саме тому ми розпочинаємо роботу над розробкою проєкту з підтримки сімей загиблих спортсменів, зображених на шоломі, з подальшою метою — створити можливість допомагати сім’ям усіх загиблих спортсменів. Дякую за вашу підтримку! Ви найкращі 🫶🏼 — What we should understand from this story: 1. The world remembers our tragedy. 2. We are fighting not only on the battlefield. We must not allow Russian propaganda to spread in sports. I am also convinced that we need to support the families of the fallen not just with words. Їх убили, але їхній голос настільки гучний, що МОК їх боїться. Я переконаний, що ми не порушували жодних правил МОК (славнозвісне правило 50), а отже, маємо повне право вдягати цей шолом. Завдяки їхній жертві ми сьогодні живі й можемо бути частиною цих Олімпійських ігор. І я щиро вважаю, що саме завдяки їхній жертві ці Олімпійські ігри взагалі сьогодні можуть проходити. Хоч МОК і хоче зрадити пам’ять цих спортсменів, я їх не зраджу. — They were killed, but their voice is so loud that the IOC is afraid of them. I am convinced that we did not violate any IOC rules (the infamous Rule 50), and therefore we have every right to wear this helmet. Thanks to their sacrifice, we are alive today and can be part of these Olympic Games. And I sincerely believe that it is precisely because of their sacrifice that these Olympic Games can take place at all today. Even though the IOC wants to betray the memory of these athletes, I will not betray them.

Бубка не має носити звання «Герой України». Для мене це вже давно стало аксіомою, але бачу, що багатьом ще треба це доводити. У братів Василя та Сергія є паливний бізнес на окупованих територіях. Василь Бубка з 2014 року є активним прихильником так званого уряду «ДНР» і бере участь у їхніх пропагандистських заходах, наприклад, у «дні прапора» так званої «ДНР». Саме Василь за свою частку у фірмі «Монблан» отримав підозру від СБУ. Водночас рівноцінний співвласник тієї ж фірми Сергій Бубка жодних підозр не отримав. Організація, яку очолює Сергій Бубка, допустила використання російських прапорів та просування російських наративів на своїх майданчиках під час змагань. Ба більше - офіційні сторінки цієї організації в соціальних мережах також поширювали російську пропаганду. Це далеко не повний список того, що Бубка робить проти України. Хоча навіть сам факт бездіяльності в такій ситуації викликає дуже серйозні питання. Цих фактів уже достатньо, щоб запровадити санкції проти Сергія Бубки. Такі дії порушують закон України «Про санкції» та передбачають позбавлення державних нагород. Бубка не має права носити найвищу державну відзнаку - звання Героя України. Саме тому ми зареєстрували відповідну петицію про застосування санкцій проти Бубки.

Учасниця двох Олімпіад під прапором України Софія Лискун змінила громадянство на російське… Причиною стала «ігра в одні варота», й, судячи з інтерв’ю, якісь психічні відхилення спортсменки… Не знаю, що тут ще можна коментувати. Гидко. Бридко. Соромно.

Олімпійський рух продовжує рухатися на дно 💔 The Olympic movement continues to sink to the bottom 💔 МПК допускає російських паралімпійців під російським прапором без будь-якої фільтрації. Це відкриває можливість участі військових РФ, зокрема поранених на війні в Україні, які вбивали українців і дасть можливість продовжувати це робити поширюючи пропаганду. Голова російського Паралімпійського комітету заявляв, що понад 300 колишніх військових уже ввійшли до національних збірних. Участь інших країн поруч із такими спортсменами = співучасть у російській пропаганді. Олімпійський рух на найнижчій точці за багато років, МОК зраджує власним цінностям. Якщо так триватиме - можливий кінець МОК у нинішньому вигляді та поява нових організацій. —— The IPC allows Russian Paralympians to compete under the Russian flag without any filtering or vetting whatsoever. This opens the door for Russian military personnel - including those wounded in the war in Ukraine who have killed Ukrainians - to participate, and gives them the opportunity to continue killing Ukrainians by spreading propaganda. The head of the Russian Paralympic Committee has stated that more than 300 former military personnel have already joined the national teams. The participation of other countries alongside such athletes = complicity in Russian propaganda. The Olympic Movement is currently at its lowest point in many years. The IOC is betraying its own values. If this continues - the end of the IOC in its current form and the emergence of new organizations are quite possible.

The head of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) literally stated that they don’t care about what Russian soldiers did in Ukraine. The problem is that we do care. The Russian Paralympic Movement takes an active part in spreading Russian propaganda. Because of that, it was sanctioned by Ukraine. Many athletes are soldiers from the war in Ukraine-here are just a few examples. Russian Paralympic athletes, to whom the IPC has just gifted licenses, were also involved in propaganda events with members of Putin’s team. This whole story is just getting worse and worse.

«Нейтральний» спортсмен. У 2022 році російський тхеквондист Владислав Ларін публічно закликав підтримувати мобілізованих військових РФ, тих, хто веде війну проти України. У відео йшлося не просто про «підтримку», а фактично про збір коштів, амуніції та допомоги для окупаційної армії. Його дії мають ознаки кримінальних правопорушень за українським законодавством, зокрема: посягання на територіальну цілісність України та фінансування дій, пов’язаних із тероризмом. Попри все це, федерація World Taekwondo досі вважає його «нейтральним» і допускає до участі у своїх змаганнях 🤯 Мною було подано відповідну заяву до СБУ щодо кримінальних правопорушень. У відповідь повідомили, що матеріали передані для розгляду слідчим. Відкриття кримінальної справи та подальша передача цієї справи до Інтерполу — це реальний шанс не допустити цього псевдонейтрального до змагань, а можливо і заарештувати за злочини проти України.

Дискримінація України триває. Discrimination against Ukraine continues. Ця Паралімпіада ще до старту була приречена: російським і білоруським спортсменам дозволили змагатися під національними прапорами та символікою без жодної реальної перевірки на «нейтральність». Це відкрило двері для колишніх військових РФ. Голова МПК робив маніпулятивні заяви - про це вже говорилося в попередньому відео. Але й цього виявилося замало для організації, яка явно симпатизує диктатурам. Українська парабіатлоністка Олександра Кононова вийшла на п’єдестал у сережках «Stop War». Напис абсолютно відповідає миротворчій суті Олімпійського та Паралімпійського руху (згадаймо «олімпійське перемир’я» - буквально «stop war»). Проте МПК видав їй офіційне зауваження та попередження. Інший абсурд: родині українського спортсмена заборонили пронести українські прапори на стадіон, хоча російські прапори на трибунах майоріли вільно. Німецькі спортсмени під час нагородження демонстративно відвернулися, не зняли шапки під гімн Росії, трималися на відстані від росіян на фото та відмовилися від спільного селфі. За це МПК розпочав проти них розслідування. Тоді ж російський лижник Голубков публічно присвятив перемогу Путіну та Росії - і жодної реакції. Натомість наша збірна отримала зауваження за український прапор на будівлі проживання. Системний тиск на українців + явна підтримка агресора - це не рівність. Це ганебна підтримка держави-терориста та цькування жертв війни. Саме тому українська збірна бойкотувала церемонії відкриття й закриття Паралімпіади-2026. Національний паралімпійський комітет України вже назвав ці Ігри найгіршими в історії. Останні роки на Олімпіадах і Паралімпіадах складається враження, що це може стати початком кінця нинішніх МОК та МПК. У найближчому майбутньому ми можемо побачити крах цих організацій і появу нових — тих, що справді поважатимуть олімпійські цінності. — This Paralympics was doomed even before it began: Russian and Belarusian athletes were allowed to compete under their national flags and symbols without any real check for “neutrality.” This opened the door for former Russian military personnel. The IPC chairman made manipulative statements - this has already been discussed in the previous video. But even that wasn’t enough for an organization that clearly sympathizes with dictatorships. Ukrainian para-biathlete Oleksandra Kononova stepped onto the podium wearing “Stop War” earrings. The inscription fully aligns with the peacekeeping essence of the Olympic and Paralympic movement (recall the “Olympic truce” - literally “stop war”). Nevertheless, the IPC issued her an official reprimand and warning. Another absurdity: the family of a Ukrainian athlete was prohibited from bringing Ukrainian flags into the stadium, even though Russian flags were waving freely in the stands. German athletes, during the award ceremony, deliberately turned away, did not remove their hats during the Russian anthem, kept their distance from Russians in photos, and refused a joint selfie. For this, the IPC launched an investigation against them. At the same time, Russian skier Golubkov publicly dedicated his victory to Putin and Russia - and there was zero reaction from IPC. In contrast, our team received a reprimand for a Ukrainian flag on the accommodation building. Systemic pressure on Ukrainians + obvious support for the aggressor - this is not equality. This is shameful support for a terrorist state and the bullying of war victims. That is exactly why the Ukrainian team boycotted the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2026 Paralympics. The National Paralympic Committee of Ukraine has already called these Games the worst in history. In recent years at the Olympics and Paralympics, there is a growing impression that this could mark the beginning of the end for the current IOC and IPC. In the near future, we may witness the collapse of these organizations and the emergence of new ones that will truly respect Olympic values.

Росія стала на активний захист Бубки. Пропагандистські телеканали разом із ботофермами взялися захищати «совєтського» спортсмена. І що найцікавіше - разом з українськими прибічниками Бубки вони говорять саме про його спортивну кар’єру, до якої в мене ніколи не було жодних претензій. Претензії до Бубки стосуються того, що він робить зараз, а не 30 років тому. Він є співвласником фірми, яка торгує з окупантами, а організація, яку він очолює, допускає росіян і дає їм платформу для поширення військової пропаганди. При цьому я навіть не згадую численні скандали, які відбувалися до 2022 року. А їх було чимало. Кредит довіри до Бубки був величезний, але всьому є межа. Ми маємо чітко розуміти, де закінчується спортивне і починається громадянське. Зараз Україна веде боротьбу за своє існування, а дії Бубки так чи інакше підтримують агресора. Його дії порушують закон України, і цим законом передбачено позбавлення державних нагород. Петиція вже зареєстрована, збір підписів триває. Долучайтесь!
