Punch was absolutely validated for calling that nigga a fucking weirdo. Why were Doechii & Sza the only ones? Why was the nigga ALREADY ON THE STAGE right after they got called up there. Did yall see him up there at any other time during the night for anybody else?? If yall don’t see that Druski was taking shots at everybody Drake had issues with, yall are the problem.

Some of yall need to go revisit Kendrick’s ‘DAMN’ interview with Lowe Any real Kendrick supporter knows there has been a rhythm to his album drops. There’s a pattern there It’s been a deep then mainstream alternation & he never repeats the same lane artistically & Kendrick be having his own motivations, he doesn’t listen to fans, he never gaf about public expectations As someone who’s paid attention I believe his next album will be an integration of depth, emotion, culture & accessibility like always, it’ll be more narrative driven than GNX was & more sonically immediate than MMATBS was & definitely about where he is in life Kendrick is a creative, retiring now is definitely not his next move, it’ll be an album about whatever questions he’s genuinely been wrestling with from GNX til now

Alright, alright, check me out. I’m bout to end this man’s whole career. 😂 Look, there is no Polysemy & Morphological Wordplay in “Bing-bop-boom-boom-boom-bop-bam”, alone. I can show them to you if you include more lyrics, HOWEVER, it is what is called an Onomatopoeia-words that imitate sound Now, if you extend the bar to “Bing-bop-boom-boom-boom-bop-bam. The type of shit I'm on, you wouldn't understand. The type of skits I'm on, you wouldn't understand”, NOW, we have Polysemy & Morphological Wordplay with several other literary devices. Mic Drop

I like that Mickey made a distinction between TECHNICAL proficiency & ARTISTIC mastery. To me he basically said you need to build a framework & just because rhyming is required that alone doesn’t determine greatness. Learning to dribble is a foundational skill in basketball but we not out here calling niggas the GOAT cause they can dribble. Mickey defined lyricism as creativity under constraints. He ranked 1. Constraints 2. Storytelling 3. Content 4. Metaphors 5. Entendres 6. Wordplay 7. Punchlines 8. Multis I personally would’ve added Conceptual Writing & Flow in there somewhere. I think how someone places syllables against rhythm is important . I think Lupe said something similar about how niggas can write but someone else has to perform it for them. But Flow itself is an art form. Rakim changed rap because of flow. IG: Mickey.Factz when you say constraints are the highest form of lyricism do you mean conceptual execution? Or you talking formal writing constraints like alliteration, perspective shifts, writing from one point of view, palindrome structure etc? & where does flow fit in your hierarchy? Do you even think it should be part of the framework or is it outside of lyricism altogether? Do you think there will ever be a universally accepted ranking for lyricism? Like a clearly defined framework for evaluating lyricism that everyone can apply consistently across artists? Or do you think people are too biased in their preferences for that to happen?

I explained a section of his gen/gin scheme & had 🦉 fans in my mentions & messages all day. If I explained every literary device he used they would implode 😂😂😂 There is nothing wrong with reading & being informed people. There’s also nothing wrong with us breaking down verses & engaging in conversations about them. If all you want to do is vibe that’s fine but leave us alone when we enjoy Hip-Hop our way

🫡 Major salute to Curtiss King 🏁🛠 for acknowledging my post on his live. I couldn’t sit by & let folks fumble logic, disrespect your intellect & act like Kendrick ain’t lyrically smoking most of the industry with his skills. Some of these ppl argue like they eat glue for breakfast. I like calling people stupid too sometimes 😂 ESPECIALLY the ones out here fist-fighting Crayolas 🖍️ with ashy knuckles & dirty finger nails.
