I had to stop by Best Buy for something and I regret it. Look at the empty floor space that used to have shelves of #PhysicalMedia. It’s certainly being used for nothing but walking on now. Shame on you, Best Buy.

/// UPDATE /// So, I have now upgraded to the Panasonic UB9000. The second disc that I inserted to test was BLACK PHONE 2 on 4K. It booted up immediately, whereas the UB820 player about nine times out of ten would fail to even read the disc. Here’s a video of it booting up on the UB9000. This is the exact same disc. It boots up within about 15 to 20 seconds. No joke!

Holy shit this bitrate. Impressive for a 2 hour movie on a BD-66 in 4K UHD running HEVC. Watch the upper right beside HEVC for the video bitrate.

Please make sure to be sitting down for this. It contains graphic damage to #PhysicalMedia. I’m sorry this Walmart sucks so much, edgarwright. She only has destroyed 4 out of 5 of the copies. One of those being mine. 😮‍💨

This RAMBO COMPLETE COLLECTION on 4K UHD Blu-ray from Lionsgate has the most genius packaging. These are sold out at Amazon. Let’s hope they’ll be back.

FIGHT CLUB on 4K in HDR10 seem too dark for your lighting situation? There’s a fix for that. You’ll need a Panasonic UB9000 player for example. It’s got HDR settings. This will make even the whiniest person accept the GOODFELLAS 4K presentation.

Amazon is actually doing something cool with their shipping methods for #PhysicalMedia. And it’s really beneficial for the purchase of SteelBooks.

Why don’t we see slipcovers like this anymore? It was from a 2007 HD-DVD. I bet most of you have never even seen it. Universal Studios Home Entertainment had creativity flowing back then. A simple slipcover that does something cooler than a lenticular. #HDDVD #PhysicalMedia #The40YearOldVirgin #FormatWar Anyone actually still own their copy or at least even remember seeing this on store shelves?
