30 years ago today, the Lost Boyz from South Jamaica, Queens dropped their classic debut album “Legal Drug Money” 📀 Mr. Cheeks, Freaky Tah, DJ Spigg Nice & Pretty Lou brought that raw Queens storytelling to the game. Hits like “Renee,” “Lifestyles Of The Rich And Shameless,” “Jeeps, Lex Coups, Bimaz & Benz,” “Get Up,” and “Music Makes Me High” made it a summer staple. “Renee” went Top 20, earned Gold, and even landed on the *Don’t Be a Menace* soundtrack. The album peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard 200, hit No. 1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, and went Gold in just two months.
