I don't know why White women bother with having these hairstyles done, but you can tell that the braider did it as tight as possible to maximise pain. And the OP and the commenters support that theory. They just enjoy inflicting pain. It's who they are. And they're not going to change just because you're nice to them, so stop trying. Don't be friendly to them. Don't buy anything from their businesses. Don't pay pay for their services. Just disengage from them entirely.

Rather, she's a crack head with a rap sheet for indecent exposure, but she decided to pull herself together because it became clear to here that 🦧ing wouldn't be tolerated. What accounts like this fail to mention is that punkah-pullers pre-dated the British, and were used by the Mughals and the pre-British Indian elite. They like to paint the British as uniquely exploitative and evil, but the reality is that there's pretty much no exploitation and evil the British engaged in that they didn't already engage in prior to British arrival. (Bonus points if you can spot the dude with three legs 🤭. Another shoddy AI job 🙄)
