Everyone have said go and rest. But I was still the last person to leave the hall today. I looked at the empty hall we filled today and said a little prayer before the hall staff called me and thanked me for a job well done and would like to work on subsequent events. I laughed. I asked them if they can take 20,000 attendees. They looked at me funny. I showed them our attendees record for today and we did 4993 in the hall and almost 1k standing at the red carpet. They said everything should roughly be 6k because people were leaving and coming. Today the maiden edition of #IbadanTechExpo held at the International Conference Center, UI, Ibadan. People bought tickets till 4pm. For a show that started 8am. We trended for hours as the number 1 trending topic on twitter in Nigeria. It’s easy to ask me to rest. This is not the time to rest. The show has ended for attendees and speakers. But I still have post event to handle. Sending letters to all sponsors. Thank you notes. Compiling data. Sending a report to the state government. Thanking speakers and volunteers. I have said it is 20,000 attendees I want for #IbadanTechExpo2024 This is an accountability tweet. I am going to bring either Elon Musk, Bill gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Jack Ma or Jeff Bezos to Ibadan.
