It's deeply concerning that anti-Jewish protests are being organised during a time when the Jewish community is mourning the greatest loss of life since the Holocaust. People who are out supporting leaders of terrorist organisations, should be held to account and should be condemned for their actions. This is an anniversary of 1,200 people losing their lives, and that's why these protests shouldn't go ahead.

We must redouble efforts to improve outcomes for Indigenous Australians in disadvantaged communities and to close the gap. That includes an urgent need to boost law and order, school attendance and employment in many remote communities. And that means listening less to activists and more to people in those communities and those who champion them - including Senators Kerrynne Liddle and Jacinta Nampijinpa
