Whether you love it or hate it, Eritrea is a sovereign nation, and Assab falls within its territory. Historical arguments have no bearing here. Any claim on Eritrea’s sovereign land is tantamount to declaring war. Therefore, if conflict arises, the Ethiopian government bears full responsibility.
