How did Donald Trump give himself, his family, and their businesses a Super Pardon for all their crimes, back taxes, fines, and other payments due to the federal government? Meet Todd Blanche, Trump’s personal criminal defense lawyer now assigned to the Department of Justice, who gave his boss and former client, Donald Trump, a family-sized stack of get-out-of-jail-free cards.

President Trump, the felony fraudster convicted of 34 criminal counts, wants to be seen as “tough on fraud.” Here's the reality Republicans don't want to admit: In just one year, Trump’s pardons wiped out more than $1.3 billion in restitution and fines owed to victims and survivors of crime.

“Trump’s jealousy over Musk’s wealth must eat away at him every second he has to look at the richest person in the world. But in public Donald Trump gets to do what he likes to do best. Insult and humiliate. Insult and humiliate, in this case, Elon Musk.”

.Rep. Jamie Raskin: We found that Trump had collected hundreds of thousands of dollars from the U.S. government. Article II of the Constitution says the president is limited to his salary in office and may not collect any other emoluments from the U.S. government. And yet, here he is, putting hundreds of thousands of dollars from the Secret Service into his pocket.

A Maryland father with legal status, on his way to pick up his autistic son, was seized by ICE and deported. No hearing, no charges, no judge—just shackled and disappeared into a Salvadoran mega-prison, indefinitely. Rep. Jamie Raskin explains: This is what happens when due process is cast aside. The Trump Administration trampled the Constitution, admits to their mistake, and now claims the man’s fate is out of their hands.

Here's a fact check for our GOP colleagues: It was under the Biden Administration that Maxwell was convicted and sentenced to 20 years in prison for her role in Epstein's child sex abuse and sex trafficking ring. Rep. Jamie Raskin sought to investigate the crazy plea deal that Trump's former Secretary of Labor gave to Epstein despite his heinous crimes. Democrats have pushed for the full release of the Epstein files. Our record is clear: Democrats are fighting for transparency, fighting for justice for survivors and victims, and fighting to prevent human trafficking and child sexual abuse. What are Republicans doing?

.Rep. Eric Swalwell to House GOP: You get a border bill from the second most conservative member of the Senate. You oppose it because Trump opposes it. He opposes it because he wants to be president because he has 91 felony counts that he's facing. And those go away if he's president.

The plaque honoring the heroes of January 6 is finished, but the GOP refuses to hang it in the Capitol. Not one Republican has offered a reason why. If they can’t respect the officers who defended our democracy, the very least they can do is respect the law.

.Rep. Eric Swalwell: Mr. Chairman just down the hallway Hunter Biden is sitting in the Oversight Committee. He's ready to testify publicly. If you're so eager to take his testimony publicly, I move that we adjourn right now and take his public testimony and bring him in here right now.

Republicans want to change the law so AG Bondi can unilaterally appoint unqualified, sycophantic temporary U.S. Attorneys (recurrently and indefinitely!) to do Trump's lawless, political bidding—people like Alina Habba, who brought trumped-up charges against a Democratic congresswoman, or Lindsey Halligan, whose bogus case against Comey was thrown out after judges determined that her appointment was unlawful. RM Rep. Jamie Raskin suggested they make their bad bill a little better: any temporary U.S. Attorney tapped by the AG must have some relevant professional experience and belong to the state bar. Even that modest standard was too much for Republicans to stomach as they seek to give Trump free rein to bring sham charges against anyone everywhere.
