केंद्र सरकार के पास शक्तियां हैं राज्यों के आकार कम ज़्यादा करने की।चूँकि अब चंडीगढ़ और मोहाली पूरी तरह हिंदी/हरियाणवी भाषी हो चुके हैं और यहाँ हरियाणवी अच्छी खासी संख्या में बस गये हैं,इसलिए इन दोनों शहरों को पूर्णतया हरियाणा में मिलाकर चंडीगढ़ को अकेले हरियाणा की राजधानी घोषित कर देना चाहिए।
