Some of you have seen there’s a “controversy” with Hyeseong in Korea: Basically his estranged dad owes a guy money, so the guy’s been stalking Hyeseong for 8 years with signs calling his family a “cancer” & other bad things. He was at the airport when Hyeseong arrived. Messed up

Blake Treinen is done for the season, and might be done for his career. But this moment is baked into the memory of Dodger fans forever. He was the essential bridge that led to Walker Buehler’s epic finish.

MIGUEL ROJAS: “We have Hyeseong Kim playing shortstop almost every day for us. I feel like he has the potential to play short. If I can make him better before I go, and before I start the next chapter of my career, that’s going to be one goal of mine.” 🥺💙

MAX MUNCY on his collision with ILDEMARO VARGAS: “As I’m running down the line, I saw him in foul territory, so I got to the inside of the bag, and I thought he was going to stay on that side. It felt like neither of us knew what direction we were gonna go, and then we both went the wrong direction.” “Obviously I really hope Vargas is ok. I sent something over to him, hoping he’s doing alright and he’s not too bad.” 🎥: SportsNet LA

Yamamoto blew his teammates’ minds🤯 MOOKIE BETTS: “What Yoshi did was unbelievable. He went on zero days rest.” BLAKE SNELL: “It’s not even that he went on zero days rest. He was on zero days rest, and looked the same as if he had six days rest. I’m like, how do you do that?”

DBACKS MANAGER TOREY LOVULLO: “I think a 1st baseman, somebody like Freddie Freeman, would slide feet first and give way to the runner, who’s probably going to be standing up… That would have been the way to avoid that situation. And I’m thinking Max [Muncy] probably thought that [Ildemaro] Vargas was going to slide, and then it’s at the point of no return. They just couldn’t get out of the way of each other.” About RYNE NELSON not covering 1st: “That bothers me. We’re going to tighten that down. We talked about that as it happened, we talked about it as the game was ending, and in my office. So we’ve gotta tighten that down. We have been showing a vulnerability to getting over and covering 1st base, and that’s not who we are.” 🎥: Diamondbacks On SI

Hyeseong Kim on Yoshinobu Yamamoto: “As a baseball player, he’s a very respectable teammate and friend. He’s really cool, and there’s a lot I’ve learned from spending time with him.” “We probably talked a lot because we’re both Asian and the same age.”

🚨Freddie Freeman confirms that he will bat 4th in the lineup this year. That means the top of the order will be: 1. Shohei Ohtani 2. Kyle Tucker 3. Mookie Betts 4. Freddie Freeman “I’ve always loved being in the middle of the lineup. I love when there’s guys on base,” he says. “Being in the 4-hole, hopefully there will be a lot of opportunities to cash them in and get some points on the board.”

STEPHEN A. SMITH on the DODGERS: “I’m not going to say [I have] a problem with it because I’m a diehard Yankee fan, and I didn’t mind when the Yankees were spending money in the ‘90s and making sure they loaded their teams. I felt no sympathy for anybody.”

I love this guy’s attitude. Q: How difficult is it knowing that you’re here to eat innings, things start going a little rough, you look over your shoulder and the bullpen’s empty and you’re going to be left out there to wear it for a while? COLE IRVIN: It’s part of the job, you know? I signed up to be a Major League baseball player. Some nights aren’t going to go your way, and you just gotta be able to take one on the lip and keep going. I can sit here and smile because all of the work I put into my season so far got me this opportunity and I’m not going to let anything get in the way of the joy that I have right now. Yeah, it sucks to lose, but at the same time, I earned this opportunity and I’m thankful for it. 🎥: DodgersBeat | Dodgers News & Interviews
