This is North Gaza earlier today. Israel besieged the entire area and asked around 400,000 Palestinians to leave. Many decided not to leave their homes as they have nowhere to go and they still remember the fate of their parents and grandparents during the Nakba of 1948. Asymmetry in power, asymmetry in the reporting of main stream international media, asymmetry in how victims are portrayed, asymmetry in condemnation, asymmetry in terminology. There has to be context and we must reinstate hope for the millions of Palestinians under oppression that there can be a better future.
