This is why as a Christian you are not supposed to listen to secular music. Christians have debated secular music for generations because music does more than entertain. It shapes emotions, thoughts, desires, language, and worldview. Not all secular music is automatically evil, but many believers become concerned when lyrics glorify lust, violence, pride, hatred, greed, or lifestyles that pull the heart away from God. The deeper question is whether the music is influencing you toward wisdom, peace, and truth or slowly discipling your mind through the messages you consume daily.
