Our politics is a strange place - where it isn’t always about what is true vs what is false. When I first saw this clip, there were only a few seconds of it, and it was worded as if Mavetera was attacking Vice President Chiwenga. The full clip however says something totally different and is about something entirely different. The unfortunate thing is, a lot more people who saw the first clip won’t see this one. And will retire to the impression Mavetera was after Chiwenga. Our politics is a strange place for sure. I think there are and should be enough reasons to criticise Mavetera or any other minister for their work, or lack of, or whichever/whatever. But those criticisms must, first and foremost be true. The particular line doing the rounds now is just not true.

The man in this video aggressively approaches our journalist, forces her to stop recording, yanks the phone from her hands, and the recording comes to an end. Journalists are never legitimate targets for police, CIO, MDI or whoever. This completely unacceptable. Anyone who knows who this man is - please DM the details.
