I stopped by Mr. Petties home to spread ice melt on his driveway, just in case he needs to get out for an emergency—or if emergency services need safe access to him. He’s inside resting and staying warm on this cold evening, and I’m grateful to help bring a little peace of mind. Making a difference, one lawn at a time.

We’ve been hit with a winter storm here in Alabama—some are calling it an ice storm, and that’s pretty accurate for my area. Not much snow yet, but plenty of ice, rain, and sleet. Today I’m out spreading ice melt on driveways, sidewalks, and ramps for some of the elderly, disabled, single parents, and veterans we serve locally. I’m currently at Mr. Wayne’s house in this video, putting ice melt down on his ramp, he had some ice on it . It will get worst later A few days ago, I picked up some ice melt and a spreader to help with situations like this—so this is actually my first time using it. Just doing what we can to keep our neighbors safe during this weather.

I just finished spreading ice melt on Mrs. Contrell ramp. She’s inside staying warm. Mrs. Contrell is the widow of a veteran who sadly passed away about two and a half years ago. To her late husband: thank you for your service. And to Mrs. Contrell and her family, thank you for your sacrifice. Stay warm inside, Mrs. Contrell—we’ve got you covered. I wanted to make sure her ramp was treated and safe in case she needs to step out for an emergency or anything unexpected.

I stopped by Mrs. Bush’s house this evening to spread some ice melt on her driveway, just in case she needs to get out for an emergency. With temperatures dropping below freezing tonight and tomorrow’s low around 13° with a high of 28°, I wanted to help make things a little safer for her. Everyone please stay safe, stay warm, and take care out there.
