Yesterday I ordered minced chicken for my dogs as usual. I normally buy around 1500kgs. Guy casually tells me, “Boss, price imepanda by 15 bob per kilo because fuel prices are up.” 😭 At first I was like “15 bob si kitu.” Then nikakaa chini nikacalculate… 15 x 1500 = Ksh. 22,500 EXTRA. 💀 So basically my dogs are now eating fuel-adjusted chicken. These guys are consuming diesel at this point. 🚛🐕 Fuel prices are not just affecting matatus and road trips. Even my dogs are now victims of economic terrorism. Soon they’ll start barking in frustration demanding serikali intervention. They might even go for Maandamano😭 Kasongo has turned every Kenyan into an accountant. You can’t even buy dog food without opening calculator app and crying afterwards. At this rate my dogs will soon have to look for jobs and contribute to the household.
