The officer, Subham Pratap Singh, and his team had arrived for a rescue operation following complaints of crop damage by the animal. While attempting to encircle the boar using a net, the animal suddenly charged. It pinned down the officer for nearly two minutes. Other personnel present at the scene managed to drive the boar away using sticks, ultimately rescuing the injured officer.
