One of my favourite videos of Sheikh Abd al Aziz Aal ash Sheikh. It’s a discussion between him and Sheikh Sa’ud al Shuraim who is defending his doctoral dissertation. Brief translation: (Someone says) "This Hadith was graded 'authentic' by Ibn Khuzaymah and al Haakim, and Adh Dhahabi concurred, while al Hafidh Ibn Hajar said it is 'acceptable..." The new era of Sheikh Yasir… My students always ask me how do we improve our recitation? How do we improve tune and melody? I tell them to improve their Ahkaam of Tajweed and Makharij and your recitation will improve by 99%. Sheikh Yasir is a prime example. Not that his recitation wasn’t amazing before, but he had mistakes in his Tajweed and now that he has corrected them, his recitation has levelled up greatly. May Allah reward those who advised him on his mistakes and the Sheikh for correcting them.
