Just another ordinary guy who would like to see the world become a better place.

On my way to Monash Education on a very cold and foggy winter morning from Cranbourne, Australia. Returning to the Maldives wasn’t a bad decision, but believing I could truly make a difference in this country is a mistake I deeply regret. I call upon all Maldivians out there, studying and dreaming of doing big things, to never return to this country. Education and experience are not valued here—it’s all about your connections to the political party in power and those with lots of money.

This is happening every 10 minutes. These idiots don’t even know how to design proper bus stops.

Not many people know that I wasn’t in the country from January 2003 to March 2019. I only saw President Nasheed in the media until a rally during the 2021 local council elections, and I personally met him for the first time in 2022 at a Villa College conference. I had never communicated with him in any form before that. I decided to work with him in the 2022 MDP presidential primary because I agreed with his view that giving Ibu a second term would be devastating for this country. Unfortunately, what I see today in 2025 is even worse than in 2022. That said, I firmly believe Ibu was never qualified for a second term, and I stand by that decision without hesitation. My only regret is that we failed to work hard enough to find a stronger replacement. His weakness and corruption opened the door for Muizzu: who has proven to be an even worse disaster for this country. For 2028, the people must not repeat the same mistake. The focus cannot just be on removing Muizzu; it must be on finding a truly capable and principled leader to replace him. Our history is littered with failures because the public focused only on ousting sitting presidents, only to replace them with someone even worse. Both Ibu and Muizzu are clear proof of that tragic cycle.
