On the whistle, the play is over and new players & puck enters. ➡️ The players entering the game can shoot or pass on their rush. 🏒 Start Practice with 12 Player Game! 🚨 The Buffalo Sabres started Day 2 of their Dev Camp with a fun & competitive 12 person small area game. A great way to get the whole team engaged early in practice. ➡️ The game was 3 v 3 in the middle and each team had 3 bumper players in their offensive zone, essentially making it a 6 v 3 when having possession. Bumper players could pass, shoot, and defend but could not enter the playing area. ♻️ After a rep, the bumper players rotated to the middle to play 3 v 3, and the players that were playing the 3 v 3 game in the middle rotated out. 🙌 Thank you to the Buffalo Sabres for having dev camp open to the public to let coaches, players, and fans learn.

🚨 2 v 2 Angle Game with Defensive Reward ➡️ A competitive half-ice game from Buffalo Sabres development camp that practices angling and rewards the defensive team for a stop on the rush. 🛑 If a stop occurs by the D on the rush, they get a 3rd player and the game continues 3 v 2! 🙌 Thank you to the Buffalo Sabres for opening up Development Camp and giving coaches, players, and fans the opportunity to learn from their staff.

A competitive 2 v 2 small area game from Day 3 of the @buffalosabres Development Camp that practices corner & net front battles. Each team had 2 point players and 1 goalie. As time went on it was fun to see the players start to utilize the boards for point passes & rims.

🏒 2 v 2 Play Fast With Support ➡️ A high tempo game from Sabres Dev Camp that starts out at 2 v 2 in center ice. Each team also has 2 support players in their offensive end, located on the face off dots. ➡️ The support players are stationed at the dots and do not join the play but act as support players. These players can be allowed to two-touch, or one-touch a pass to their teammates in the center, or to their partner across the ice, or they can fire a shot on net. ✅ View more learnings from a Sabres Dev camp practice below:

4 v 2 Continuous Zone Entry Game from Niagara University Men's Hockey ✅ A high tempo game that practices quick attack zone entry & defending concepts. ➡️ Offense tries to enter the zone and score. The defense aims to shut down the play and break the puck out to the next 4 players in line. After the puck is broken out to the next 4 players, 2 of the players that were originally on offense stay back and play D.
