I was apprehensive since I am a lover of Mirzapur season 1 and 2 but season 3 was underwhelming. Censor issues, language etc ...i had my doubts but I was pleasantly surprised. Gurmeet Singh 's direction is first rate and Puneet's writing is superb. Ravi Kishan is excellent while SONAL CHAUHAN surprised with the sheer nuance. I saw it in a housefull show in surrey canada on a weekday. Not only India, but Mirzapur is all set to storm international markets as well.

Open Letter to Salman Khan Sir Salman Khan sir, please stop Maatrubhumi release. Something doesn’t seem right with the film. There seems to be a hesitation, an unsure element around it — and that is never a good sign. Your superstardom is intact. We saw it recently with the way a simple “Sonam, it’s done bro” blew up everywhere. That is Salman Khan’s aura. People look up to you. Your fans simply adore you. But those fans are desperately waiting for a film that JUSTIFIES that superstardom and aura. Unfortunately, a few of your recent films haven’t been able to do that. I understand you’ve had an incredibly tough time — security threats, your own health concerns and Salim sir’s health as well. But you’ve done the seemingly impossible in the past, and you can do it again. Your fans want the Salman Khan of Tiger Zinda Hai, Sultan and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Filmmakers like Kabir Khan and Ali Abbas Zafar have shown how beautifully they can channel your superstardom, vulnerability and screen presence. Your fans want you to concentrate on ACTING and being SALMAN KHAN — and allow the best people to take care of casting, music and the other creative aspects of the film. Please take this constructively, sir. You know I have only love and affection for you, and I say this as someone who is also a huge fan. The aura is intact. The superstardom is intact. Sunita ji, just shut up. Enough is enough. Please leave Govinda ji alone. You get a chance in front of the press and you say whatever you want about Govinda ji. You do a podcast and once again, you have to say unpleasant things about him. At this point, it genuinely feels as if you are enjoying this media game. What you perhaps don't realise is that Govinda ji seems extremely vulnerable, and somewhere, all limits are being crossed. The loss of his mother impacted him psychologically in an extremely intense manner. For almost two decades, he has struggled professionally, and somehow it feels that he has never completely overcome that personal loss. What he needs today is love, understanding and support — not his personal life becoming a recurring spectacle in public. And let's not forget who Govinda is. This is an extraordinary actor and performer who gave Indian cinema some unforgettable moments. Several actors senior to him are doing some of the finest work of their careers today. There is absolutely no reason why Govinda cannot find that one great role and create magic all over again. The talent is still there. Sunita ji, please stop washing dirty linen in public. Some relationships and some wounds deserve privacy. Please back off before it is too late. Govinda ji deserves love. Govinda ji deserves dignity. And most importantly, Govinda ji deserves another chance.

Hugely talented Afghan singer Farangis Mirzad is very impressed with Amaal Mallik and believes that is a great composer Farangis beautifully sings Tu Aata Hai Seene Mein from MS Dhoni composed by Amaal. Farangis also has wonderful things to say about Palak Muchhal who has originally sung this song. Farangis applauds the humanitarian work undertaken by Palak.

Toxic is a boring film. After so much of hype, and after KGF 2, if you're going to deliver a boring film for the audience, it is nothing short of a sin. The main culprit is the disjointed screenplay. My question is: did you guys have test screenings of the film? Because if you had shown it to a select group of unbiased people, they would have surely told you what exactly was going wrong. Aamir Khan has always believed in test screenings (i am not talking about recent films). One of the reasons why his track record remained impeccable for such a long period in the past was because he would take feedback seriously and make as many corrections as possible before the actual release. Toxic was supposed to come with Dhurandhar 2. You guys had ample time for course correction, if required. Maybe that course correction simply did not happen. A three-hour film that bores the audience is a very bad idea. And please, Animal did not work at the box office merely because of its bold content. These are not the 1980s. Today, audiences have countless options to consume intimate content. Animal worked because the storytelling connected with the audience. The storytelling in Toxic is just not working. Whatever fantastic opening Toxic has received is, in my opinion, entirely because of Yash's massive stardom. But will that initial enthusiasm sustain once word of mouth takes over? I doubt it. What are your thoughts?

Toxic is a disaster but the paid negative campaign against the film is highly condemnable. There are some people within the film industry who seem to enjoy being commentators instead of concentrating on their own films. Their relevance is increasingly relegated to commenting on what is going right or wrong with the industry, while they remain hesitant and unsure about their own work. But here’s the larger point: no amount of negativity can stop a genuinely good film. Animal faced tremendous negativity, but alongside it were people proudly saying they had watched the film three, four, even five times. Once that wave of genuine audience excitement took over, nothing could stop the film from becoming a huge success. The same happened with Dhurandhar. Negative videos were made, criticism came from different quarters, but there was also a much bigger wave of people absolutely loving the film. When positive word of mouth becomes overwhelming, manufactured negativity simply cannot overpower it. Toxic, unfortunately, has a flawed and disjointed screenplay. It simply does not work for most parts. Yash is a superstar. He has acted well, and he is bound to learn from this experience. Everyone is allowed to fail. One unsuccessful film cannot take away what he has achieved, and I’m sure Yash will come back stronger. But as of now, Toxic is simply not working. That’s it. Your thoughts?

Stop targeting Kiara Advani by calling her shame on you Mrs Malhotra for Tabaahi in Toxic. There is a highly sensuous and beautiful song Bheegi Saree in Param Sundari featuring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor but no one will pass value judgements on Sidharth by calling him names because of his marital status. This hypocrisy is stupidity!! I think Kiara is holding herself back in Tabaahi in her physical expression of love towards Yash and hasnt been as expressive as Kabir Singh. Maybe she was being conscious because of fear of being judged. I saw a classic film Scarface recently since I am reading Al Pacino's autobiography. Many Bollywood films have blatantly copied this film but they have not copied the uninhibited manner in which Tony Montana uses the F word or cuss words. Mirzapur the film trailer lacks the punch that Mirzapur season 1 and 2 had because it did not hold anything back. Why why why??? What are your views???

Chellomeme ne Samay Raina ki hekdi nikaal di in the latest episode of India’s Got Latent! No one usually stands a chance in front of Samay Raina’s wit and roasting, but for perhaps the first time, a relatively unknown personality like Challo Meme roasted Samay effortlessly — and Samay, to his credit, took it sportingly and enjoyed every bit of it. Someone like Orry was completely overshadowed. I genuinely don’t understand why this man is famous and what exactly people find so fascinating about him. But Challo Meme — what a discovery! Her Instagram is genuinely interesting; almost every post has something wonderful about it. She’s also a classical dancer and clearly has a terrific sense of humour. Even the rap she performed had a personal element — touching upon how people from Arunachal Pradesh are ridiculously equated with China and made to feel like aliens in their own country. Chello Meme deserves all the work and attention coming her way. Very talented, naturally funny and completely uninhibited. She has a very bright future ahead! 🔥👏

Shekhar Suman ne Kapil Sharma ki chutti kar di hai! 😄 Shekhar Suman ke liye yeh bahut bada compliment hai ki aaj kal log sirf yeh jaanne ke liye show nahi dekhte ki guest kaun hai, balki is liye bhi dekhte hain ki Shekhar Suman apne monologue mein kya kahenge. Unki language par command, timing aur wit genuinely outstanding hai. Ek waqt tha jab Kapil Sharma ke show mein bhi current affairs par sharp observations aur topical humour hota tha—fuel prices ho ya pyaaz ke daam, har mudde par ek take hota tha. Aaj kal format kaafi sanitized lagta hai. Shekhar Suman, on the other hand, is taking chances, enjoying himself and going the whole distance. Itna lamba safar tay karne ke baad bhi ek host ke taur par audience ki curiosity ko sustain karna aasaan nahi hota. Shekhar Suman is simply sensational. Kya aap agree karte hain ki Shekhar Suman ne Kapil Sharma ko hosting aur monologue ke maamle mein pichhe chhod diya hai? Apni rai zaroor batayein.

When I asked Shehnaaz Gill about her manager Kaushal Joshi (who is also the producer of Ikk Kudi), Shehnaaz welled up and ended up crying. I later came to know that apparently the two have parted ways. I don't interfere in anyone's personal or professional life. I had no idea what the dynamics are and I wish all the best to both. I was surprised to see some media reports (highly respected ones), who equated her crying with Siddharth Shukla. It is highly irresponsible to do such baseless reporting when it is clearly mentioned as to what really happened. I hope this settles this matter once and for all.

Ranveer Singh's ban is very serious and it should not be taken lightly. The perception as of now is in the favour of Excel Entertainment as they have been able to put across their point of view clearly. The fact that various food chains within the film industry have been asked not to work with Ranveer is bad news for him as it is being perceived that his decision to back out of Don 3 at the last minute impacted the livelihood of many people involved with the film. In the past the ban on Sajid Khan in the Me Too movement was followed by the entire industry simce the perception was not in favour of Sajid. Ranveer ought to sit across the table with Farhan and Riteish and try and sort it out amicably. What are your views?

Stop harassing Tanya Mittal Stop targeting Tanya Mittal. She’s a simple girl. The way things are being written about her, the way she is constantly being targeted, and the manner in which she is perpetually under the scanner is simply not right. For the record, I have not interacted with Tanya Mittal since the podcast we did together in Mumbai. I am aware that a lot of things have been said about me and the podcast as well. I have chosen not to react because, quite frankly, I find much of it unnecessary and not worthy of a response. My personal experience with Tanya was extremely positive. I found her to be genuine, sincere, and straightforward. Perhaps she may not know all the intricacies of the industry, but that does not make her deserving of the constant criticism and scrutiny that comes her way. Sometimes, a little compassion goes a long way. Before rushing to judge someone, it may be worthwhile to remember that there is a human being on the other side of the screen.
