“Subway Surfer” // I’ve long been obsessed with public displays of art and creating in ways I’m not supposed to. This shoot got us kicked out of 3 stations before we were able to get the shot off quickly enough. This photo is about escape. So many of us spend our days behind desks and staring at screens. We worry about numbers and margins while we dream of escape. In reality, getting away isn’t always an option so we do our best. We work so we can chase life in those precious moments in between. In this image I wanted to tell a story of a woman escaping the boardroom for a board meeting of another kind, doing anything to get out of the city and into the waves (in style, of course).
