Film evaluation for North Dakota State QB Cole Payton. After getting through some of his tape from this past season, he's in strong contention to be my 2026 QB1.. Strengths 🔘 Possesses a quick release with elite ball placement to all three levels of the field 🔘 High level throw maker capable of fitting balls into any window. Sometimes appears as though he is throwing balls through defenders 🔘 Elite processer with a high level understanding of leverage and the ability to speed up his delivery and accurately place balls under pressure 🔘 Strong and powerful runner who never gives up on a play. Can break tackles at a high rate and is a dangerous red zone threat Weaknesses 🔘 Has a tendency to not reset his feet after moving off initial target. It doesn't always impact his ball placement, but it's something to note as he translates between levels

2025 passing highlights for North Dakota State QB Cole Payton. Payton a high level throw maker who has elite rushing upside. He's an extremely efficient passer who can make difficult throws to every level of the field. Payton is slowly turning into one of my favorite late round upside prospects..
