INS Kolkata, the lead ship of the Project 15A Class guided missile destroyer of the Indian Navy, returned to Mumbai after a successful high tempo operational deployment of over three months for Op Urja Suraksha and Op Sanchet. During the deployment, the ship provided protection to Indian Flagged Merchant Vessels transiting to and from West Asia amidst the US-Israel-Iran conflict and also thwarted a piracy attempt on MV Mashallah 1 in the Western Indian Ocean, ensuring safe and secure seas.
