Global funds are holding a massive 225k short position against Indian index futures, betting on a market crash. But the market isn't falling. Why? Wall Street's valuation models are 12 months out of date. 1/ Foreign bears are focused on sluggish single-digit profit growth in headline Nifty 50 numbers. But beneath the surface, a structural industrial boom is underway. 2/ The catalyst? India's Real Effective Exchange Rate (REER) reset from an overvalued 119 down to a fair value of 103 by March 2026. Flat dollar revenues are converting into massive rupee profits for local exporters. 3/ The result: Mid-caps are seeing 34% YoY growth and small-caps are hitting 25%. Capital is migrating straight into physical logistics, heavy infrastructure, automotive production, and shipping. 4/ On top of that, India has outgrown its label as a standard emerging market. As the US decouples from China, Western capital increasingly views India's scale and digital infrastructure as a mandatory geopolitical hedge. 5/ While foreign funds stack up shorts, domestic Indian investors are fighting back with 163k long contracts. If the bears are forced to panic buy to cover their losses, it sets up a massive, violent upward squeeze. #IndianStockMarket #Nifty #Macroeconomics #ShortSqueeze #FII

Nifty Prediction For Tomorrow 16 April 2026 By Rohit Srivastava | Indiacharts The Nifty is currently exhibiting swing-to-swing price action and is actively testing a crucial overhead resistance level at 24,300. A decisive daily breakout past this 24,300 mark would open up the chart for a potential continuation rally toward the next major swing high at 24,800. If the index is unable to clear this immediate resistance, it may face downward pressure to fill the overnight gap down to the 23,800 level. Any further rejection from those levels could result in a deeper retracement to retest the underlying structural support around 23,465. Nifty is currently moving within a downward trending channel, with key support near 25,250. A break below this level could lead to further downside. However, if 25,250 holds, a recovery toward the top of the channel at 25,500 is possible, and a breakout above that could push the index toward new highs. #Nifty #StockMarketIndia #TechnicalAnalysis #money
