To stop female foeticide, even the Prime Minister has to plead with people by saying, "If daughters aren't born, where will you get daughters-in-law?" Think about that for a second. The appeal isn't centered on the fact that girls deserve to live, it's framed around the fear that men won't have enough brides. In this society, a girl's existence is still measured by what she can provide to men. Doesn't this make you feel that, in such a pathetic society, maybe it's better if girls aren't even born? I believe sex determination should be legal in this country.
