Prime Minister Keir Starmer & Yvette Cooper must provide a clarification to the UK and the world if their governments long standing stated position has shifted, on the issue of Jammu and Kashmir being a bilateral issue between India and Pakistan to resolve. Under the previous Conservatives government, imagine the uproar from The Labour Party and its Pakistani origin MPs had Rishi Sunak, Priti Patel MP or Suella Braverman MP taken a position coloured by their Indian heritage. They instead demonstrated that their loyalty lay firmly with Britain’s progress and its politics, refusing to import the politics of the Indian subcontinent onto the streets of London. In stark contrast, the current Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood MP has repeatedly chosen to platform foreign politics, especially that of the Indian subcontinent onto British soil, even alongside Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan. This sets a deeply worrying precedent for UK, especially when her leanings appear contrary to established British foreign policy. The British Government owes a clear explanation not only to India in the UK, Narendra Modi & Dr. S. Jaishankar, but also to the ~2 million British Indians. They deserve to know how Shabana Mahmood MP intends to carry out her duties as Home Secretary without allowing personal bias to seep in - a bias that aligns with a state whose official state doctrine openly embraces asymmetrical warfare and terrorism.

Pakistani chirkut reporters are either ignorant as runts or pretending not to be aware of basic Afghan war doctrine! Afghans don’t defeat air power! They simply make it irrelevant From Camouflage to Ground fire & MANPADS launches, Afghanistan has effective means of hurting PAF

Pakistan threatened Calcutta on Apr 5. By Apr 9, India had already helped bust a Pakistani spy network inside Bangladesh's Air Force. No press briefings. No prime time coverage. Just silent intelligence work — before the plot could mature. This is what quiet power looks like. 🧵 Follow -

A 40 min phone call between Trump and Modi during such pressing times, cannot just be about US-India trade and keeping the St of Hormuz open ! There is potentially more perhaps on the lines of 1) India’s operational in Hormuz to provide naval escorts given that India already has a considerable number of fleets in the region as part of Operation Sankalp. 2) War trajectory briefings to provide an insight on how the US intends to posture in the coming days which will have impacts on India, leading to Strait Closures completely or even for further defence and logistics coordination (refuelling and surveillance) 3) Energy Security Bargain to Increase purchases from US/Gulf-aligned suppliers and reduce exposure to Iranian channels 4) Backchannel stabiliser role played by India considering it is one of those only governments which is seen as neutral and friendly by all stakeholders in this conflict #Iran #UnitedStates #Trump #Modi

I won’t comment on Islam as a theology since I haven’t studied it deeply enough to judge. But the conduct of its followers is something civilisation has long experienced and can assess. What this Muslim convert Javed Iqbal, who has served in the Pakistani Navy demonstrates is not faith, but a conditioned, combative mindset that treats diversity as a threat. While the majority of Muslims may not think this way, their real failure lies in their reluctance to challenge and hold accountable the institutions and individuals that nurture such extremism. Silence in the face of radical behaviour is not neutrality. It is complicity! And that is the core problem facing the world which is unable to coexist with Islam and its followers #GazwaEHind

Voices are waking and recognising that Islam, in its current orthodox form, struggles to coexist with Western democratic values. The choice simple! Reform to the 21st century, where #FreeSpeech means ALL belief systems are open to scrutiny, or move away from liberal democracies

Indian Muslims who campaigned for and carved out Pakistan were explicit about their objective - the creation of an #IslamicState built on a comprehensive political, social and economic order. They argued unambiguously that Islam and Western liberal democracy were incompatible. Those in Pakistan today who retrospectively deny this founding premise or cloak it in hollow praise for “secularism” are attempting to just deliberately gaslight history

On NewsX World with Sumit Peer Office, Amb Pradeep Kapur & Devika Diwan, we discussed how BilawalBhuttoZardari’s US visit is nothing but copycat diplomacy, doomed to be scorned and laughed off at. Pakistan, a nation that glorifies Osama Bin Laden and still shelters global terrorists, brings no credibility to the table. This delegation, including intellectually dishonest figures like Hina Rabbani Khar, offers the world nothing but more Islamic terrorism. Bilawal will predictably parrot the tired “Modi is the butcher of Gujarat” line. But the world should see the irony as he’s the son of the “Butcher of Kashmir,” (Benazir) who pledged $5 million to terror camps in PoJK to drive out Kashmiri Hindus and the grandson of the “Butcher of Bangladesh,” (Zulfiqar) under whose watch 3 million were killed and scores of Bangladeshi women barbarically raped
