$HOOD » CEO Vlad Tenev on how Robinhood’s biggest customers now hold $100M+: “It used to be that when I was on the phone with our best customers, it was someone who had maybe $200K or maybe $1M in their accounts. Then it went to talking to customers that had $10M. And nowadays I’m routinely talking to customers that are looking to move $100M+ — and have that in Robinhood.”

$HOOD » CEO Vlad Tenev on aspiring to build the best government product ever: “Our aspiration is to make this [Trump Accounts] the best product the government has ever been associated with. And I know, with the National Design Studio (National Design Studio), they feel the same. Those guys, in concert with our team, have been cranking through the weekends because, like you mentioned, the government hasn’t always had the reputation for rolling out great consumer products. I think this time will be different, and this administration in particular, with its care toward design, is really approaching it very differently than the government has in the past.”

.@jason on Vlad Tenev as CEO of $HOOD: "I'm never selling a share of this company if Vlad is CEO; he's one of the most spectacular CEOs I've ever seen." $HOOD: “What people really want is to invest in an individual private company as easily as they can invest in a public stock. And maybe they want an individual piece of land or a property in a neighborhood that they think is going to do well.” – @VladTenev

$HOOD » CEO Vlad Tenev on working at Robinhood: “Achieving really hard things is not easy on people. It's tough. It requires long hours. It requires a lot of attention to detail. I don't think Robinhood is a great place to optimize for work-life balance by any means. It's a place where people come to work intensely; they want to have a lot of impact and to do in one year what would take a normal company 10 to 20 years.”

$HOOD: "The more interesting thing that I'm excited about is how do we actually get real world assets on crypto technology. Because I think that expands the addressable market from low single digit trillions to tens of trillions rather quickly." - @VladTenev

$HOOD » VP Product Abhishek Fatehpuria on the Barbell Strategy: “Vlad calls it the Barbell Strategy, it’s: how do we make the app great for beginners who are new to investing, and how do we make the app amazing for the sophisticated, more advanced traders, and trust ourselves that if we take care of both sides of the barbell in the same experience, the middle will be fine. It's about coming up with something, then spending a lot of time understanding how it will work for sophisticated customers who are power users. We test the boundaries because those are the customers who push the experience to its limits. We then test that same feature with new customers: 'Hey, if you're completely new to the app, can you figure out how to use this? Can you gracefully navigate it?' If you effectively solve for both ends of that spectrum, the average customer—who may not be a power user but is still fairly engaged—will be well taken care of in that model.”
