I watched every Worthy rep from this game, and I have to say, it doesn't look good at all. But this is why play-action is important with a real run game. Fantastic play from Mahomes and Gray, and Worthy is wide open

New England Patriots S Craig Woodson was awesome in the postseason and got better and better throughout his rookie season. Love seeing him show off his instincts and route tracking to make this PBU. He's going to have a big year 2

This is what I've been talking about regarding Xavier Worthy (bottom of screen). It's an ugly release that needs improvement, but he recovers on the route stem. Gets vertical and leans into Stingley at the top and gives the head fake inside. Gets him to bite, and then he breaks out clean.

One of those plays that we've seen several times this season in KC. It's drawn up for Juju with two vertical stems from Watson and Hopkins on third down. The play is there to be made, but Mahomes pulls it down.

Syracuse defender Justin Barron is a former WR and DB turned Linebacker for the Senior Bowl, and here he is showing off his natural coverage feel against Woody Marks. I like what I'm seeing

Missouri EDGE Johnny Walker Jr isn't getting a ton of buzz right now, but I like the tools he has. Uses his 33-inch arms with power in this rep where the T tries to pull him down, but he keeps his balance and runs the arc for the strip-sack

Eku Leota DE/LB #55 Auburn is an interesting player in this class. Coming off injury, this is a crafty push-pull. Imo, he disguises it as a speed to power bull-rush and slide off the outside shoulder with the pull through. Beats Bergeron.

3rd and 5. Travis is physically covered and can't get open. Reid tries to scheme Worthy open from the bunch on a delayed Out with Rice "running" to the S and Brown with a deep out. Feels drawn up for one person with no other options. Pat was pissed

Yes, Caliendo gets beat on this play, but Mahomes just doesn't throw this. Hollywood is free and clear; he's gonna take a hit if he stands in and throws it, but this has to be made.

This is 2024 Patrick Mahomes. 3rd and 7, and he abandons a clean pocket for no reason. If he sits in and stays patient, Worthy beats Benford and he has a shot

Leo Chenal is a lot of fun to watch and a remarkable athlete. Watch how quickly he diagnoses the play-fake and then gets on his horse to the flat. He sinks his hips and decelerates immediately to stick with ARSB to make this only a one-yard gain

Mahomes has had many opportunities to hit open players downfield this season and in the past few seasons, but he routinely overthrows his guys. The protection is excellent. Kelce getting open forces the middle safety to trigger, leaving Worthy open. He has to hit it

I was already intrigued by Thomas Findone's pre-draft process, and his tape is quite good for a guy with almost no college production. He knows where to stop in zone and has spatial feel to know where he wants to go after the catch. He's pretty good in space

Clemson TE Jake Briningstool is flying under the radar right now, but he's a top-four receiver TE in this class, IMO. He has a great feel for zone, nuance in routes, speed to attack the seams, and body control/awareness/ball skills to come down with the ball even when covered!
