CBC didn’t just get COVID wrong, they withheld information Canadians needed to make informed medical decisions. That isn’t journalism. That’s propaganda. They demonized the unvaccinated. They ran messaging designed to enforce one side of the argument. They weaponized the term “anti-vaxxer” as a shield against scrutiny. Not to inform the public, but to silence them. Bad journalism is incompetence. Propaganda is betrayal. CBC became the public health messaging arm, not an independent press, and they knew they were shaping public opinion, not reporting facts. Doctors in Canada were required by law to report vaccine adverse events. Yet when some actually did, patients were contacted by public health officers and told their reactions didn’t count, and the physicians who reported them were investigated. Not for negligence.
