The poet of the Odyssey begins his story on year 10 since the sack of Ilium, when Odysseus is detained in Ogygia, seemingly forgotten by the gods. But at least one remembers (Hom. Od. 1.48-50). In modern Greek (transl. Dimitris N. Maronitis) with English subtitles.
