I never thought I’d have the opportunity to meet the people I’ve met, and I’m incredibly humbled to have been part of an event like Solana’s WSOP Showdown in Las Vegas. Everyone was so welcoming. It was awesome meeting all the other players. There’s a ton to learn from each of them. It was equally awesome meeting and talking with all the incredible leaders, builders, creators, and everyone on the Solana team who made this event possible. My sincerest thank you to everyone who supports me, my content, Genfinity, and everything we’re building. Thank you to everyone reading this. This is a memory my wife and I will have forever. This was probably the most impressive event I’ve ever had the opportunity to be part of. From the WSOP on ESPN, to the Solana Showdown, to the coordination and logistics behind it all, it was an incredible experience. 🇯🇵 BREAKING: Bank of Japan CBDC documentation released today shows its pilot successfully processed 50,000 transactions per second, just 1/10 of the volume assumed for nationwide “social implementation.” The BOJ is also exploring: • Programmable payments and “purpose-bound money” with usage restrictions • Payments using My Number digital ID cards and facial recognition • Sharing information on suspicious transactions across stakeholders • Interoperability with bank deposits, stablecoins and tokenized government bonds • Blockchains, digital identity, offline payments and tokenized central bank money The BOJ also says it has identified “no knockout factors” from a technical perspective so far. Japan is testing the foundations of what programmable, identity-aware, interoperable digital money could look like at national scale.
