Said Irovani's speech at the UN Security Council was one of the harshest in recent times: Iran's UN Ambassador Dr. Saeed Irovani accused the US and Israel of destroying diplomacy. He said the so-called diplomacy was nothing more than a hoax to disorient the world community. He stressed that the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) has become a political instrument, and the selective and dual behavior of the IAEA and the Security Council is a disgrace to international morality and law. Irovani said Iran would take all necessary steps to protect its territorial integrity and national interests, recalling the direct responsibility of the Security Council. He also condemned the tacit complicity of Britain and France in Israel's crimes and demanded that the Zionist regime's infrastructure be placed under international control. In response to the US representative's speech, Irowani recalled the terrorist assassination of General Qasem Soleimani, which was acknowledged by Trump himself. He called Soleimani a national and regional hero. This is a testing moment for the UN: either you defend international law or you participate in its destruction.
