BALTIMORE- OIG’s job as your watchdog agency is to follow the money and PROTECT TAXPAYER $$. These redactions were made by the LAW department after an OIG request. OIG has been requesting city records for 2 decades. No issue until now!! THIS IS NOT TRANSPARENCY!

Want to set the record straight - OIG’s request for oversight is .00002 not .00001 of this $4.78 billion budget. Similar to the difference between cut & deny - both yield ZERO positions to the citizens watchdog group that requested the new position to do our job. 🙏🏽🖤💛

This is Victor Lee Butts Jr., a BaltimoreDPW worker who has worked for our City since 1989 & makes $20.00 an hour. He stood in front of the Council & passionately told what he has been thru & the lack of representation. Please listen to him tell his truth. 🙏🏽 Please share 🖤💛

Today at 3pm at HistoricCourthouse in Towson there is a Rally for the IG. Not long ago, one man stood up for me,Alvin Hathaway, Sr. - he had the courage to fight for me & the OIG. Independence in an OIG office is everything. The impact of voices are real. Forever grateful 🙏🏽🖤💛
