On the anniversary of the tragic events of October 7, 2023, we once again express our sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of all victims, including Russian citizens. We condemn this terrorist attack, the murder of civilians, the taking of women, the elderly and children hostage. We advocate the early release of all hostages, including our compatriots. We will continue to make every effort to achieve this goal. There is no and cannot be any justification for terrorist methods, no matter what their motivation is. We reiterate that violence in any form against the civilian population, no matter what side it is on, is unacceptable. We are deeply convinced that the current situation, which is close to catastrophic, can and must be resolved politically and diplomatically with the active participation of all Middle East countries, the support of the UN Security Council and extra-regional powers. This is the only way to prevent new suffering of civilians.
