Prime Minister Netanyahu: To the brave people of Iran, I wish you, as I do every year a happy holiday season, beginning with the Festival of Lights. It signifies the age old belief of the Iranian people that light will triumph over darkness, that good will triumph over evil.

![Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the new barrier area being established along the eastern border, accompanied by Defense Minister Israel Katz, Head of the Borders and Seam Line Administration Maj.-Gen. Eran Ofir, Division 96 Commander Brig.-Gen. Oren Simcha, and other commanders. The Prime Minister was briefed on the ongoing and completed efforts to reinforce defense along the border and strengthen security components on the eastern border. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: "I am here in the Jordan Valley near Kibbutz Massada, together with the Defense Minister and IDF commanders. What you see behind me is the massive barrier we are building along the eastern border, from the Yarmouk [River] to Eilat. We are building this as an addition to our security. This is in addition to the security zones we hold in Lebanon, Syria, and, of course, the Gaza Strip. We are surrounding the State of Israel with a massive barrier, but not just that. There are forces here, there is a work plan, anti-drone plans, I won't go into details. Simply maximum defense so that we can protect the citizens of Israel and prevent anyone from even thinking about invading the State of Israel. There is enormous work here – massive engineering work, massive logistical work, mobilization of the Israel Defense Forces, mobilization of the reserves. All of this power comes to say to Israel's enemies: Do not test us." Defense Minister Israel Katz: "What the Prime Minister showed here is an important component of the security plan, the defense plan, the security zones, the fence, the forces. But this comes only in addition to the primary element – an active, pro-active offensive policy led by the Prime Minister, the State of Israel, and the IDF, facing distant Iran and close threats alike. First and foremost: Offense, the destruction of the enemy, the removal of threats, alongside strong defense for the citizens of Israel."](https://image.24vids.com/tw-2110703938844373056/amplify_video_thumb/2110703824906125312/img/sCrvSiedhyr90RJr.jpg)

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: “As time passes, the picture is becoming clearer. Yaniv and his heroic companions prevented a disaster on the scale of 9/11. The attacker underwent Islamist radicalization. He intended to crash the plane with all its passengers on board. We are now investigating whether he was sent, and whoever sent him will pay a very heavy price.”

"I want to make a few points absolutely clear: Israel has no intention of permanently occupying Gaza or displacing its civilian population. Israel is fighting Hamas terrorists, not the Palestinian population, and we are doing so in full compliance with international law.
