Remembrance Day for the Genocide of Greeks of Anatolia. 🕯️ In Smyrna they slaughtered lambs, in town they slaughtered rams and outside of Aivalik they slaughtered our young men. Twelve of my father's nephews, each one of them two meters tell in stature, they had them in the field and they slaughtered them. They didn't just kill them. The bullet was valuable, so they cut their heads off. These are Turks, who are called Turks today. My mother-in-law told me, that the sea was filled with the bodies of our beautiful girls. She was in Smyrna. So that the girls wouldn't be taken and raped and tortured, they all jumped in the sea and drowned. And the ships wouldn't even take them! The British had their ships in the harbour as did the French. I am not sure if the Americans had their ships in the harbour and they were all taking photos.

Armenians are dancing on their native land. Two organizations, France-based Yerkir and France/Switzerland-based Gamarfolk, have organized dance workshops in Tigranakert, Dersim, and Kharpert. The event in Tigranakert took place at Surp Giragos Church. "Of course, these were dances and performances that Armenians used to carry out on these streets, these avenues, at these weddings 110, 120 years ago. Over such a long time, people forgot them. These events were organized to remind people once again, to remind the people at Surp Giragos." “They did not treat an Armenian the way they treated us. We are asking for your help, President Erdogan” A Turkish company that was invited to “rebuild” Artsakh now has all its properties seized by the Azerbaijani government, and they’re crying to Erdogan for help. Irony at its finest. After the invasion of Artsakh, Turkish construction companies were immediately invited to “rebuild.” But this pattern is nothing new, it’s the same playbook the Turkish state has used for decades. Every government in Turkey has cultivated its own loyal class of wealthy supporters. And many of Turkey’s richest families became wealthy by seizing Armenian homes, property, and goods after the Genocide. The economic elite of the Turkish Republic was built on the blood of Christians. Erdogan’s government isn’t any different. They invaded Northern Syria, and the first thing they did was call in their loyal construction companies. The same model is being repeated in Artsakh, openly. But what these companies didn’t understand is that the Turkish state, no matter the ideology, is always greedy. It doesn’t care about their loyalty or profit, it cares only about its own profit. I’m posting the video here with the Turkish translation. The story is predictable: They were invited to Artsakh to rebuild. Then the Azerbaijani elite didn’t want to share the profit. So they seized everything. Now the owners of the company, who happily went to Artsakh for the money, are crying for help. And yet, even now, they still don’t forget to curse Armenians at the end. Incredible. Sooner or later, they will repay for everything. History shifts. It always has. Here is their own statement: “Honorable President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, After the Karabakh victory, we are one of the Turkish companies invited to help rebuild Karabakh. Our company has carried out a total of 44 projects in the cities of Lachin and Kalbajar, including schools, factories, hotels, and military dormitories. President Ilham Aliyev and Mehriban Aliyeva personally attended our inauguration ceremonies. Mr. President, all of our factories and receivables have been seized using the name of Leyla Aliyeva. Although we have applied to Azerbaijani state institutions for two years, we have not received any results. We informed the Turkish ambassador, Mr. Cavit Balcı, about the situation. He responded to us by saying, ‘They will stain my reputation, stay calm.’ Mr. President, they raided our home with fake police officers. Weapons were taken from our home — from the home of a Turkish businessman. They did not treat an Armenian the way they treated us. We are asking for your help.”

Islamic pressure in Turkey knows no limits. Surp Vortvots Vorodman Armenian Church and culture center in Istanbul. Why are Muslims singing a Salawat in our church? Aren’t there enough mosques in Turkey? What is the point of singing this in front of an Armenian cross? ‘O Allah, sanctify Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as you have sanctified Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. Truly, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious. O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as you have blessed Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. Truly, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious.’ Since when do Armenian Apostolics recognize the prophet of Islam? Whoever allowed this needs to answer some questions. Was it out of fear? Did they threaten the Patriarchate? Or is our church now hostage to some political agenda dressed up as interfaith tolerance? Why did this happen? Let me tell you; early Christians died in horrific ways and still kept their faith. Fear is not a valid excuse.
