It would be really nice if Director Nandini Reddy limited her promotion of Brahminical traditions to her own home instead of selling all that nonsense as a full-length feature film. Also, the funniest part is that MiB was marketed as a female-centric action movie. If I remember correctly, there wasn't even a total of 20 minutes of action sequences in the entire film, and those sequences were only average at best. So, don't even dare to compare a film like Blast with that Nandini Reddy's film.

Dalit filmmaker Mari Selvaraj was quick to respond to the criticisms, he apologised and even assured that he would try his best in future. The criticism was kept by netizens which was mostly not healthy, it was toxic and went on to casteist abuse, trolls, judging his identity, his works, his speeches, his political correctness, even his entire existence in his field by Non-dalits (majority of them living a life in tier-1 and tier-2 cities who are in social media spaces, whose actions won't be judged by their caste, by the majority of the society because they are privileged). Few dalits present here (lets not forget majority of the dalits are not privileged enough to make it to these spaces, and also few dalits here didn't talk about these issues because they are constantly kept in a fear of what would happen if I come up with an opinion that is flawed or incorrect?...Am I worsening the situation? What would happen if people get to know about my identity?I know many of them and definitely can't blame them, the ones who pushed them to that place where they are made to feel confused about their instincts intelligence, and made to feel bad about their own identity and existence are the ones to be blamed)...so a few of the dalits present here kept the criticism in a healthy way without judging his identity, his works, his speeches, his political correctness scale and his entire existence. Also, I harshly criticised him, I was carried by the general opinion at that point here, was shallow and judged him at that time...for which I regretted later for so many reasons. Now tell me how many Non-Dalit filmmakers (emerging ones, debutants, and even the so called legendary filmmakers who exist in this industry for years who has got institutional support and the support of society) are there in Kollywood, whose films get released regularly and how many of them have responded to the criticism kept by Dalits and Non-dalits in this space about this same topic in a reasonable and responsible way and had given assurance that they will try their best in future? Why do you think that people who carry social privileges here given by this unfair society are not always pushed to a place where they have to prove themselves everytime and why do you think that people who don't carry social privileges(the ones who question the injustice/choose not to question the injustice for many reasons), who are treated in the most painful way by the same society for generations are always pushed to a place where they have to prove themselves constantly every single time, while they should also parallely fight the discrimination mentally, physically here and also fight against the different life challenges for survival. And even if some of the dalits constantly prove themselves, do you really believe that they escape the different kind of evils this society gives them? Do you think they are given the same respect and love, a socially privileged person recieves from this society? Who is the reason for this situation and who should take responsibility and accountability for this situation which has been constantly prevailing for generations?
