BRADLEY DESERVED BETTER. 😡😭 After spending $1,500 on training, his family still gave up on him. The wife wanted him gone, she said they “couldn’t deal with him anymore.”They called him “too unpredictable.” But Bradley is only one year old! he’s a baby🥺 What the volunteers saw was a quiet, calm, gentle soul, not chaotic, not aggressive. Just a sweet boy who stayed close to people, softly asking for love. His kennel was filthy. The volunteer and another helper cleaned it. They bathed him, cleaned his paws and tail and he visibly relaxed, like he finally felt cared for 😭 Bradley has lived with kids and other dogs. He’s not broken, he’s just another #GermanShepherd who was failed by humans who quit too soon. 💔 He deserves patience and understanding, he deserves a real family. He’s an 80-pound Doberman, and yet he sits at the very back of his kennel, trembling, terrified of everything around him. The shelter is loud, overwhelming, and it’s taking a visible toll on him. It took every ounce of courage for him to inch forward and take the treats I offered. He waited until I walked away before he finally stood up, like he needed to make sure no one was watching before he could be brave. You can see it in his eyes — the fear, the uncertainty, and the longing for someone to see past the walls of the kennel and understand the sweet, loyal dog he really is. This is it ! 😭😭💔 I’ve been working on several dogs today and this baby Keke was one of them but time is so limited and the amount of dogs is just insane ! Shelter granted us last extension they already extended her one week and she has been there for almost 3 months. 💕Pupdate💕 Stacy Hope Rescue Max is 8 years old… and the first thing he did when he stepped out of the shelter was gently hold his foster’s hand. When we rescued him, Max wasn’t well. After Xrays & full senior bloodwork, the vet confirmed pneumonia, and his body is now fighting hard to recover. He’s on antibiotics and will need time to heal. His skin is also in rough shape, likely connected to a thyroid condition, signs that his body has been struggling for a long time❤️🩹 But It’s amazing what a soft bed, good food, fresh air and love can do. Max curled up on his blanket surrounded by toys like a child who finally feels safe. He gathers plush toys ALL AT ONCE in his mouth, plays fetch with anything he can find, and wags his tail a little more every day 🥹 he’s still a baby at heart. Sometimes he pauses while eating…because he doesn’t want to miss a single second of love or belly rubs from his angel foster mom Victoria 🙏🏼🥲 And the sweetest thing of all… When she pets him, Max gently holds her hand, as if he’s asking not to leave🥺 Despite everything he has been through, his heart is nothing but love. Max absolutely adores children, welcoming every little hand with patience and kindness. Some dogs break after everything they’ve been through. Max didn’t. He just keeps loving. Today, a kind volunteer walked Bradley and he got a taste of heaven, grass beneath his paws, the sun on his back, a human hand reminding him what love feels like 🥺 And yet… he was led back to the same four walls.😭💔 Bradley is still smiling… even as the kennel door closes behind him😭😭😭 My heart can’t take it 💔 Since July 31st, this majestic, absolutely wonderful 8 yrs old #GermanShepherd has been overlooked, left to sleep on cold concrete, surrounded by stressful noise. 🚨Now we can change that !!! All it takes is a temp foster in SoCal for 4 days starting tomorrow (Friday Sept 13th) to give Bradley warmth, peace & the love he deserves. 💕Pupdate💕 One week ago, Weston walked out of the shelter. Not with joyful tail wags or the excitement of a dog who knows he’s safe. He walked out carrying heartbreak 💔 First the betrayal of the person who abandoned him, then the fear and confusion of the shelter. Somewhere in that chaos, something happened that never should have. When we pulled Weston, we discovered a hole in his mouth and cheek. He had been bleeding in his kennel, a terrified dog handled with force when what he needed most was patience. Kevin Kevin McDonald our volunteer was the first person to show Weston kindness. The first gentle voice. The first calm hand. The first moment where the world didn’t feel so frightening. Kevin gave Weston his freedom ride — the moment his life finally began to turn ✨ And then Dani denby opened her home. For the past week Weston has been quietly decompressing with our incredible foster, Dani, patient, loving, and giving him exactly what his broken heart needed: time, softness, and safety. No loud kennels, No pressure. Just compassion. At first Weston watched everything carefully, like a dog who had learned the hard way that the world can hurt. But slowly… something beautiful started to happen. His eyes softened, his body relaxed, his tail moved just a little and that was the most beautiful thing to witness 🥹 The same dog who arrived trembling is beginning to believe again. This is the quiet magic of rescue. Not loud. Not instant. Just humans choosing kindness when it matters most. Kevin changed the direction of his story. Dani is helping him heal.
