This is Luna, survivor of #skidrow This poor baby has broken my heart. Her owner abused her badly and then abandoned her at this laundromat. She sat there for hours, unable to even face anybody. Luckily, people were eventually able to get her to a vet, where she’s been staying because she had literally nowhere else to go. She’s been checked out, she’s healthy, she’s safe, and she’s currently decompressing in our board and train. 💔 This one hurts in a way we can’t even put into words 😔 For almost a year, Fitz knew “home”. A foster home. A routine. A comfy bed. Walks in the park. Coffee shop stops. Beach days. Love. His foster did everything she could to keep him, everything but unfortunately her situation changed and she had to make the most heartbreaking decision. Fitz was dropped off at boarding, a kennel. No couch. No familiar smells. No human sleeping nearby. We are all crying for him because this isn’t what he deserves. Not after a year of being so deeply loved. Fritz doesn’t understand why his world changed. He doesn’t know this is temporary. He just knows he went from home… to a kennel. 🙏 Fritz needs a foster in CA or adopter — urgently. 💗Pupdate💗 Bell was hidden in the back at Devore. Overlooked. Unseen. Waiting quietly while days passed until she found herself on the euthanasia list. Thanks to a volunteer, I noticed her and thanks to this village we were able to rescue her 🥹 She tested positive for Giardia, and we took her straight to the vet. And then came the part that broke us even more, the vet believes Bell was used for breeding.💔 A gentle soul whose body tells a story she never should have lived 🥺 But that chapter is closed now. Bell is safe & cared for. She is finally being treated with kindness instead of being used. No more cages, no more being forgotten & no more pain. We were about to sign Cleo’s adoption papers. Then, in good faith, we couldn’t let the adoption happen. 💔 She was supposed to be a foster fail. She had found her family, her home…all that was left was making it official. Then her foster mom noticed a strange wound on her chest. We thought it was nothing serious. A month and a half later, Cleo has been through 5 surgeries and 17 vet visits, multiple wounds and an autoimmune disorder💔and we’re still counting… We kept fighting for Cleo together but now we need help 😔 SHR has spent approximately $5,000 and her incredible foster mom has personally spent $6,400. She won’t come forward, she won’t eat, she just sits trembling in the back of her kennel with eyes full of fear & a heart that looks completely shattered.😭💔💔 She has done nothing wrong! She’s simply too scared, & that’s enough for her life to be on the line. Dogs like Jewel don’t get time, they get overlooked, labeled, & killed quietly in the back room unless someone steps in!
