I came across this TikTok by way of @Texas_SeoulGal. She’s an amazing friend and definitely worth a follow. Regarding this video. It’s from a veteran with disabilities talking about the proposed budget cuts to VA benefits. It’s emotional, it’s visceral, and it shouldn’t have to be made. As a nation we need to stand behind those that signed the line to protect our freedoms. Thank you Logan for your service!

I don’t know what else to say. I’m sad. Defeated. Heartbroken. It really feels like we are losing the battle. I have hope and faith, but the onslaught of cruelty is overwhelming at times. My state … is just an evil filled cesspool. Driven by the white patriarchy, money lobbying, votes to the highest bidder. Guns and embryos. I’m not sure how much longer I can stay in the fight. My metal health is crap because of the constant barrage of hate. Why do they continue the attack on people who just want to exist as themselves? I will never understand it. I firmly stand with my LGBTQ brothers and sisters in this fight. I love you all. Not everyone in Texas hates you. Grace me with 2 minutes and 40 seconds to watch this video.

I don’t deny my white privilege. I wake up every morning with it, and tuck it into bed with me every night. But I see the injustice of this world, and it burns me with the heat of a thousand suns. Jason Aldean is dangerous and vile. And has a platform to perpetuate his hate. I’m so thankful there are others who can speak to this much more eloquently than I can. My gift is to share it with you.
